The problem with roughly 500whp in an SRT-4 is getting that power to the ground. Not an easy task to do at most drag strips. I dyno'd (SAE corrected) 485whp/500ft/lbs last Saturday and Saturday night (it was still HOT) my car was blowing the DOT Street Legal slicks off the car in 1st & 2nd... and I was using an AVC-R to control boost and had lowered the boost quite a bit in 2nd and all the way in 1st. 12.2-12.5@118-122 was what it ran like that with 2.0-2.1 60's and 5.6-5.7 330's (I ran better 60' and 330' times w/ Drag Radials on a prepped track w/ ~240whp). With a set of real slicks, I should be able to run 11's no problem, but 10's? Man it's a long ways to 10's, maybe with some big slicks and some serious suspension (drag suspension) it could hit 10's on a cold winter night with a perfect track and a tailwind...
Funny. I was just looking at one of my earlier timeslips compared to timeslips from last Saturday. I have a timeslip from when my car was practically stock (Bleed mod + Spring Mod + 225/50R15 BFG Drag Radials) 2.001 60'; 5.676 330'; 8.697 1/8 @ 79.98mph. Compare to a slip from last Saturday 2.079 60'; 5.600 330'; 8.230 1/8 @ 95.683. That's almost 4 tenths improvement from the 330' to the 1/8 mile...

dynoworks car right now is the fastest, 11.1@132mph i think, and someone with a psi-fi turbo kit just ran 11.2@126mph...and there are a bunch of people that are rebuilding their motors and shooting for a low 11 second run...just a matter of time now b4 we see a 10 sec et
You know we are getting to hp levels now that should make 10's a reality. I just dont think people take lightening thier cars up seriously enough or we'd probably be there. FWD is at such disadvantage accelerating forward. I even wonder if adding some ballast as far forward as possible like lead bars somewhere behind the airdam would help. You have to think extreme to have an advantage. Moving the battery or other necessary underhood components forward, even sliding your seat forward when you drag race all helps. I even like to wear certain kinds of shoes that give me better feel on the pedals and have a low heel. Running shoes have a heel that puts my foot position out of wack and boots don't allow good feel. I have some rubber soled mocassins that work really well. There are bits and pieces of good technology on various cars and drivers with skill out there. Soon the right driver in the car with the right combo will hit it. I will take myself out of that nomination now as I believe I weigh too much. (210). I'm also 6'3', so I got no plans on getting much lighter. My motorcycle racing buddies were always on diets. If I had the money, I sincerely believe I could put a combo together that would do it, but I'd have to have a wee person driving, not myself.
well roach, you must know the same person that i do...because this was what he had to say:
he has two diffrent ones the one i was talking of is Black with bio hazzard on it in Brite orange. and some other stuff on it to as far as vinal gose.
but the base of the car is black and i think everythign on it but the sponsers ont eh windows (they are blak. ) but the rest of them are Orange

Juice dont count in my book. I dont even consider a car with juice a serious contender. It's a crutch actually. I always built my cars to be all motor.

there's no such thing as too much power!!!!
btw - that dynoworks run was on a lot of juice, and he blew the motor.
