Muffler on the borla
You could probably take off the resonator that is on there and replace it with a twister style resonator, that would probably quiet it down as much as possible without sacrificing too much power. And with the least anout of modifications, just cut out and weld in.
bdjs racing has them I think. I'll look later, it's late. lol...

I cant tell you how to do it but a muffler shop could (install one in the regular neon location) but my recommendation for an outstanding quiet performance muffler is the Hooker Aerochamber. I have them on my ol D-100 pickup with headers. I have run many types of mufflers, turbos, glasspacks of all types and the Hookers are the first ones that I have run into that absolutely do not resonate in the cabin. They still sound good at full throttle, but are almost luxury car quiet at idle with no resonation at cruise. They are welded construction outside and have an elliptical and megaphone shaped chambers inside. They are advertised to outflow Flowmasters of the same size and I know many people with the Flowmasters and the Hookers are definitely quieter. They are also not terribly expensive, (around $50 each) but you would have to create a "Y" at the outlet to make a dual exhaust. Also, the in and outs are on opposite ends. I'm sure thats the only configuration they are available in.
These are an outstanding muffler-seriously, check them out.
Got mine at Lane Automotive in southwest Mich. ( they're like Jegs )

I've got a hot set up for you. Go to Flow master or Gibson and look at the universal fit mufflers. Find the one that is for F body Camaro/Firebird. It has an inlet and an outlet on one side, and just an outlet on the other. It has a 14" long muffler body, which is oval in shape. The total lenght is 18" and you can get in 2.5 or 3 inch pipes. A good muffler shop can mount it flat behind the rear bumper and add two tips for outlets. If you cant find it, let me know. I like the Gibson because you can choose the "noise level" you prefer.
congrats on the baby. wife and i just had twins. the extra gurgle and deep rumble at low rpm puts the kids to sleep. keep it noisy, they'll get use to sleeping with noise in the backround. sorry for all lowercase letters. holding one baby while typing.
Yeah being a Dad of young ones myself, I should have added that it (the exhaust) does not stop my kids from going to sleep in the car on any trip over twenty minutes. It's the same philosophy as you would use at home with the TV. If the kid gets used to the house being perfectly quiet when he/she sleeps, you will never be able to get anything done. Let them get used to the noise and you will be far better off.
we have a nine year old boy and he is quick to tell you to floor it and make the car go fast his idea of fast is around 70

I have the borla with the cat cut out of the stock downpipe(just ordered a needswings with the cutout) and it is extremely loud in the back seat. Taking the cat out made it a lot louder. I am going to go with a single tip magnaflow to quiet it down. I can take the blockoff plate off of the downpipe when I want to have fun.
