Stage 2:

For 2003-2005 SRT-4s includes:
(1) Stage 2 PCM
(4) +30% Fuel Injectors (682 cc/min)
(1) Wastegate Actuator
(1) 3.0 bar TIP Sensor
Turbo Toys (optional)

What does Stage 2 do??

- Increased WOT and part throttle boost. To develop additional peak power and peak torque for the Stage 2 package, the boost was increased for wide-open throttle (WOT) conditions. The boost was also raised for part throttle conditions to enhance the drivability.
- Improved turbo response. The Stage 2 turbo wastegate control was retuned for better turbo response. Not only will the Stage 2 deliver more torque and power, it will also deliver it faster.
- Boost hold feature during WOT shifts. Keep the pedal to the metal, blip the clutch, and grab the next gear. Do it fast enough before the redline, and your reward will be a zero-lag, constant boost shift.
- Enhanced first gear boost schedule. The maximum boost in first gear is increased to deliver more torque and power to the road for a higher performance launch.
- More aggressive exhaust note during deceleration. More pops, snaps, and burbles during closed throttle decelerations and between shifts.
- Optimized calibration for the Mopar Performance Blow-Off Valve. (Sold separately). The Stage 2 kit has improved the functionality, and the audible performance of the integrated re-circulation valve with the BOV conversion kit in mind.
- Increased Rev Limit. The Stage 2 calibration increases the engine redline to 6500 RPM from 6200 RPM. Stage 2 Turbo Upgrade Kit Performance.

What are Turbo Toys, What does it include, and What does it do for my SRT?
Turbo Intercooler Sprayer- The four fine mist water spray nozzles attached to the front mounted intercooler are activated by the 3-position blue rocker switch located on the Turbo Toys bezel. Off – No spraying will occur in the off position.
Auto – This mode uses an algorithm in the PCM to optimize charge air cooling with minimum use of fluid. The PCM monitors vehicle speed, ambient air temperature, charge air temperature, and throttle position to determine when to spray the intercooler.
Manual – This mode is activated when the switch is fully pressed down. The result is a constant spray of water upon demand. The sprayers will stay on continuously while the switch is held down and will remain on for a short time after the switch is released.

The intercooler sprayers increase the efficiency of the intercooler and reduce charge air temperature, resulting in increased engine performance. The blue indicator lamp will illuminate whenever the system is spraying.

NOTE: Distilled water is the recommended fluid for the intercooler sprayers. Use of the intercooler spray system is not recommended in driving conditions that warrant use of washer solvent.

Dial-A-Boost Switch- Fill the tank with 100 (R+M)/2 octane unleaded fuel, press the red switch located on the Turbo Toys bezel, and discover instant torque and power gains. The PCM will increase spark advance and adjust fueling to take full advantage of the 100 octane unleaded fuel. The red indicator lamp will illuminate when High Octane Mode is active.

During High Octane Mode operation, the PCM prevents damaging detonation via the OEM knock detection system. High Octane Mode will be bypassed if damaging knock is detected. The red indicator lamp will blink when High Octane Mode is bypassed. Spark advance and fueling are returned to standard levels in bypass mode. The blinking indicator light can be turned off by pressing the red High Octane Mode switch. Entering bypass mode is an indication that higher octane fuel is required.

NOTE: It is recommended that the level of premium fuel be as low as possible when adding high octane fuel. The tank level should be reduced until the low fuel indicator is blinking and filled completely with 100 (R+M)/2 octane unleaded fuel before the High Octane Mode is engaged. The use of leaded fuels will cause damage to the vehicle’s catalytic converter and oxygen sensors.

Good input! But since we question the original stage 0 rating of 230 at the fly how are we supposed to inturpet this info from the same source? I've seen the low end stage 0 listed at 220 whp. With a 17% loss in the transfer to the wheels that would put the fly wheel output closer to 260 hp. This is one reason why real world input would be nice! If you test the srt on a dyno with no airflow in front on it you will not get a real number. cooling the boost is critical to get correct hp #'s. Because (Dah) the turbo heats up the air and hot air is less able to produce power so if lets say you get rid of the cooling systems built into the srt now you got dodge #'s. so what do doges #'s mean on every stage? Now let me go on, is everyone supposed to read all prior posts so as to not be redundant? If so then this forum is more of a document to be studied than a disscusion. gotta go, spell check on this site would make all your'e lives easier since i can't spell.

Default RE: Mopar Performance Stages 1, 2 & 3

The real world input on the horsepower to the wheels and flywheels of these vehicles is car specific.

I've known of some 04's to only put 217hp to the wheels. While others are flying around 242-248 to the wheels. Thats why I put dependent upon the car, and supporting mods. Those are mopars numbers.

We all know they underrate themselves. Its a given at this point.

And Im not too sure about removing the cooling systems. The engine runs intercooled at around 200/210 degrees in good old Rhode Island. Removing those systems would kill and overheat instantaneously before any power notes could be taken.

And the reason for these stickies is so that people can converse about these topics in ONE post. We've had way too many posts about the same exact thing within the past two months that between around 10 or more of us redundantly replying it gets annoying. So its put up here, any questions we can all discuss it here, that way its kept in the same thread, and we can move around the topic freely.

It is in fact a discussion board. But how many times can you possibly discuss what Stage 1 is, (2, 3) and what they do before you start getting Mopar Staged Carpal Tunnel due to redundant explanations?

Also... not sure where this should go... it didnt fit any other sticky's

ACR Package info...
The newly minted ACR package will hunker the SRT4 down and have it turning on a dime for an extra $1195 over the base SRT4's $21,195. Considering the list of mods starts with superlight sixteen-inch BBS wheels and 225/45ZR-16 BFGoodrich KDW2 tires, the rest of the package is virtually free. Five-way adjustable Tokico dampers, rear tension strut, larger front antiroll bar, spare tire and wheel, and seats that will accommodate shoulder harnesses complete the package.

So this is a little of the subject but hopefully someone can answer this for me. i ran into a fellow srt owner and he told me that you have to buy the stage 1 kit before you can go stage 2. I can not figure out how that works stage 2 comes with everything that stage 1 has so is it true or should i just get the stage 2 and not worry about it?
