I live in Iceland, and it's snow outside now. My SRT-4 runs good in the snow, havn't had a problem yet. Are the stock tires marked M+S (Mud+Snow) because mine are. The LSD makes a big difference, just release the gas pedal when the wheels start to spin and push the pedal as smooth as you can. No problem. I'll send you a picture taken few days ago of my friend on his Impreza GT stuck in the snow with 4x4 and LSD in the rear.And another pic of my friends Nissan:

 

I can promise my dealer stock tires are not marked M+S.........they can't even be marked R+D (rain and drizzle!)

they must put different tires on over there. i picked up my 4 winters (ever so slightly used) and 2 steel rims for like 300 bucks off of a guy here in KC. just had to buy the other 2 steelies for like 100 bucks. not too bad a deal if you ask me. then i got another set of summers w/ stock rims (new) for 400 bucks.there is no reason to buy anything 'stock' at retail price for these cars, there are too many extra parts and such just floating around.

 

I went with the Nitto Neo gen tires on my sxt 205/50-15 and they were great, took a freeway pass doing 100 mph and no squealing like I had with the braum's. As soon as I burn through the tires I have on my srt I am going to go with the Nitto's again

 

i have no problem with the KDWs. finally the first set is pretty well done for. picked up a 2nd set from another SRT owner who bought diff rims (lost one of those to road debris). Then got 2 more new tires in stock. Btw, anyone who's got some leftover good cond KDWs hit me up w/ an offer.

 

I loved my acrs stock tires the 16inch kdw2s were awesome and if I get a srt4 caliber I would love to get some kdw2s for it also.
