Silly Stangs
I don't mean to sound braggy, but mustang owners just can't seem to learn their lesson as far as our car goes. I get revs from them all the time and the result has been the same every time. I think piddly civic owners have figured it out as they just look the other way when i roll up. I am, of course not talking about the new mustangs. I have yet to try and topple that mountain but from the numbers obtained in magazines (however accurate that is) they seem to be a bit ahead. Anyone gone stock for stock with an 05 mustang?
I actually have a funny story. While on the way to work one day I have a new white GT rev on me at a light, drove by a middle aged man, so I figure why not I'll enjoy a close race. Well in the end I beat him up to around 100 by ~a car length, of course he took me by about a half-3/4 of a car on the start but after that I began walking him. As most of you all probably know I was rear ended a couple of months back and had just recently gotten my car back. While I was at the shop early in the repair process, the guy at the dealership walks up to me.."So, your the guy that owns the white (they were silver) striped SRT-4"... of course I say yes, at that point I have only seen one other SRT in the area and it was orange. He replys "Ya a guy came in the other day and traded a brand new mustang GT for an SRT-4, because apparently he got smoked by one with white stripes, I guess that was you." I just kinda laughed if off saying that I suppose so not taking much of it, my mind mostly taken up by conceren about my SRT-4. As I was leaving the dealerships' shop the person that sold my car to me points to a white mustang GT sitting at the front of their lot by the road as a little display.."Right there's the mustang actually, they must have cleaned it up already.." I guess it was a little silent show of pride to myself of utmost defeat you can put on someont, to make them get rid of their vehicle. Later I found to my suprise the person that traded it in lives not 50' from my rear balcony doors, and is actually a really awesome guy after talking to him about his new SRT-4 and how mine was demolished.
Converting one mustang owner at a time. ^^

its because 90% of mustang owners are just ricers with a few extra cylinders...trying to make up for the phallic mass that they don’t possess

I concluded a long time ago that phord and shivvys were for the "me too sheep people of the world". You know, there a safe bet for the person who really doesn't have good mechanical sense. They can look at the number of cars sold and conclude that they must be better cars. They either don't want to do thier own research or don't understand things like that. Of course I'm generalising. I have hero's of mine in the racing world that don't necessarily drive Mopar products like Warren Johnson of course I maintain he'd be even faster if he did. LOL
Success in the marketplace is all about the advertising. Like beta vs vhs, mac vs regular pc, the one that may be better is not always the one that wins the sales race. I could go on and on about what is just wrong about the shivvy small block vs what was right about the Chrysler big block (from a design and engineering standpoint) but look which one obviously won the sales race. Chrysler just could not produce that engine as economically and the fact is for all of its glaring faults, the shivvy sb is an adequate people mover. Too many people just didn't know or care, bottom line, the shivvy was cheaper.

SRT-YA..i recall the days of you being our resident ford supporter...I am an active member at MF, and while some of them arent bad guys, the majority of them ruin the image for everyone else.

BadStrat... I gave up on Ford when I had to start dealing with them at work... it's amazing they can build anything... they honestly don't know their left hand from their rights...
cobra owners are ****** for the most part. if you don't have at least 500hp they won't even look at you.
if you want some good mustang boards, try turbomustangs.com. some very smart people on there, and pretty much no ricers. there's the occassional one that comes on thinking that they can throw a turbo on a gt and do 9's like in the movies, but for the most part it's pretty good over there.
