Default Bye bye front end, hello carbon. NEED HELP.

So, to follow my negative post about smashing my baby, i have a positive post.

Since Progressive has agreed to oem replacement fenders, hood and bumper, I am thinking about having the body shop put on carbon hood and fenders, and maybe aftermarket bumper.

Three questions,

1) what do you think, on a daily driver?

2) Should I just do the carbon hood, and go oem steel for the fenders?(on a value and durability standpoint)

3) Where can I get good quality hood and fenders, fast?

Thanks All.

Adam

Looks like I am just going with a carbon hood, for now. I am looking at IPP and Carbon by Design.

What do you think? Feelings on either would be appreciated. Also if you have oother suggestions, I am listening.

well good for you, im went to carbonby design to check some stuff out i like the air induction hood on there, or you may even wanna go with a silver carcon fiber, its up to you, but if you go black some thengs that may llok nice are, the cabon looking door handle stickers, carbon mirrors and the carbon lip for the front, that way if you put any decals on your car get carbon fiber ones, thats one of my plans for my silver baby, or is it just a bit to much?, o i almost forgot the eyelids!!! http://www.carbonbydesign.com/products.asp?cat=46 check this one out too!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-Up...QQcmdZViewItem

I'd stay away from IPP. I bought a used one from a local guy that was sent a new one because his first (the one he sold me) cracked. The cracks are in the clear coat. Besides the cracking, whoever layed the carbon fiber sux. In several places the weave is stretched or squished out of shape. Just not a very quality piece IMO.

I've seen the Carbon By Design piece in person and it does look pretty good. I've also seen the Carbon EFX peice and I'm thinking of going with that eventually.

Pretty funny - I just got the silver eyelids in the mail today from him - I'll take the bubble thing under advisement.

Do you have a shot of the got boost decal during the day? He only shows it lit, and I was envisioning a tacky looking border between the breke light and the metal.

Funny - after all this - I am starting to second guess myself on the carbon thing. I think it might be wise for me to stay oem. I might just do the steel, for re-sale, and buy the carbon fibre, out of pocket.

What do you think - steel oem gonna' be easier to sell if I ever decide to?

Dunno, I have my stock hood which I've been trying to dump for some time now. Considering what you would pay for a new one and what you could get out of selling it... definitely not a wise investment. You'd get a better ROI spending the money on Beer and recycling the cans.

What about ED extreme dimensions? Do they have the carbon creations front for the SRT?
