Take it to get fixed...and it gets worse?!?!
I'm glad you have another set of eyes and ears to look at things. It surely doesn't hurt.
Btw, when a turbo goes, it does not usually trash the engine. What can happen when the bearings fail is; the compressor turbine grinds against the case and becomes a big ball of chewed up metal, but usually stays put. Pieces of blades can get blown down the discharge tube to the IC. The IC acts somewhat like a filter and stops most if not all of the schrapnel from going all the way back to the engine. Not that it can't happen but usually doesn't. If the turbo goes in such fashion and the engine quits or barely runs, all the air tubes and the IC need to be pulled and power washed/back flushed to remove bits and pieces when they replace the turbo. The engine should also have a compression and/or leak down check done too.
I'm very glad this is being done under warranty, and I sincerely hope they figure out what is going on soon. I'd hate to have you end up hating this car just because of inept dealerships, that would be sad.
I would have bet the motor mounts and bolts were ok, but it is good that you looked. I think there is just too much movement total in the stock setup. Any wiring without enough slack is going to get yanked.
I, myself, dislike the movement so much that I am going to try to fix it by making my own isolators out of some urethane chunks I just happened to have laying around. They should tighten the engine up nicely without being harsh. Either that or I'll end up buying some Boombas.
Good luck!

I did run a compression test on it about 3 weeks ago I believe. Without the throttle plate open in all four cylinders it ran between 158-162psi. AllData states the norm for our vehicles is 175-225. If I had the throttle plate open it would've made all the difference. Unfortunately it was my first compression test and I didnt know that it had to be done in that manner. I also had the other three spark plugs in while I was working a cylinder at a time. Apparently another whoops. Either way the compression came out okay.
Since I have my bumper off because Im painting it, I may as well take off the intercooler and attack the inside of it to see exactly what, and how much oil is in there. The dealer said they couldn't get any out of it by tipping the car from the passenger side and letting it empty towards the driver's side out of the cold-side pipe. Well I damn well KNOW theres oil in there, because with 3000 miles on the car I had around 4 ounces. Now I have 27000 miles on the car. Thats at LEAST 9 ounces of buildup. Im also gonna weld my 3" Straight pipes back onto the car, THATS when it REALLY churns out the smoke. The cat holds it back for a few days then it all comes out at once. I had the exhaust on for 2-3 weeks before it started blowing all that smoke. Not normal. I've just gotta get a new flange and a 3" Flex pipe and I should be set to weld. Im gonna get some 3"-2 3/4 piping just in case Ive lost a few inches on the exhaust I can put that in to suffice for it for now. Ill make sleeves that way.
Heres how my baby sits now. And yes Im driving him around this way. Im so fkn depressed over this car not being fixed yet, that I dont know what to do. The reason its sanded that way is because the chips were so deep I needed to resort to attacking the plastic itself. It has no grille, washer fluid tank, emblem, nostrils, fog bezels or plate covers, and its missing a few bolts because I didn't feel like reattaching everything and then having to do it all over again come Monday when I can DP it or hopefully even DP AND paint/clear it.....

Your car looks as if it's molting. Our Iguana gets really stinky (mean) when he's molting. Well he's pretty stinky all the time. Maybe that what's wrong, Maybe he'll feel and run better with new paint.
100% right on the t-plate and plugs while doing the comp check. Live and learn. Good even #'s though. Actually, not bad numbers for an average car at all.

Well yesterday was just as aggravating as I thought it would be. Rode around with the DRB on it, with ME driving, and the car wouldn't show anything. All the stuttering and stuff was there, but other than that the DRB didnt give any inside information as to what it could be.
They ordered the wrong piece for the strut, but it needs the top hat anyhow, even though it also needs the lower piece and the bearing. So at the very least NEXT friday (my fourth friday in a row at this dealer) my strut will be fixed and I can at least get my lowering springs on the damned car. Thats at the very least.
Theres an Open CAIR on the car for those of you that know what that is, and there has been since July 6th. Yet still no one is able to fix the car, except to tell me its not normal, and they dont know what it is. *sigh*
They did tell me to put my 3" exhaust back on the car, because it would make their lives easier if thats when it was blowing smoke the most. So thats just what Im gonna do.
Im gonna try to make a video of the noises that are coming from the turbo, then maybe someone can enlighten me on exactly what this is and what the hell is wrong with it.
