Default gas getting stuck????

I have just noticed on my 2005, while driving around my throttle sticks and it is like a cruise control. If there is anyone that has the same problem, let me know3 what you did to fix it, or what there is to fix it. I just changed the oil and drove 550 miles and after that it started doing that.

It's the infamous "TPS sensor/wiring harness" problem. Srtforums.com Dealer problems section, it's a sticky authored by me back in 03. "Throttle sticks at 3K"

my 05 seems to have the same thing going on with 800 miles on it...the rpm's stay up for about 1 1/2 seconds after i let off the pedal. I just figured it was from the turbo being spooled up, needing time to slow back down. Or am I just we-tod-did?

Its hard to say in your case by your description. It was hard for me to get used to the rpm float that so many fuel injected cars have. I drove carb'd cars for so many years. When you get off the gas on those, the r's drop right now. Not so with most F.I. cars. they do come down more slowly. What every body here is talking about is a significant hang. When you say 1 1/2 seconds, I wonder how literally do you mean it?

RPM float and this are not the same thing. This will actually act like cruise control, alllowing you to keep your foot off the gas in thrid and maintian speed. Lil', for some folks, it the sensor, for some the harness, mine got a new sensor at 12 and was fine til 55K, when I had to put a new harness in. So it could very well be your harness.

Most folks just repair the harness, but I'm a nut that way Like five running changes to that harness, and I wanted them all
