Default Somethings wrong?

I was driving yesterday and hit a big bump. After that now I can't rev it very high b/c it starts to get a chatter noise. When I rev to about 2.5 and shift, I feel and hear the chatter in my clutch pedal, it almost seems like something keeps spinning. Any suggestions, Axle or tranny? Please help!

Well obviously put the car up on a set of ramps and do a physical check. Often times a hard bump could have dinged something on the underside and could potentially standout just from looking at it. Make sure to check the transmission fluid as well. Make sure you arent low on fluids in it. Does the car still shift pretty easy? It could be the clutch and not the tranny.

The tranny shift fine, like nothing is wrong. When I get out of work today I am going to inspect the underside. I am thinking now it may be my tranny mount or axle.

Worst case scenario is you have a guy at a transmission shop test drive it for you. Often, they will spot what you can't.

I have a family friend that owns an AAMCO transmission shop....guy knows his cars better then some of us know how to read.

It sounds most like a clutch related problem since it has the odd chatter noise involved as well as being felt in the clutch pedal. I don't see how it could have been damaged by the bump, but I have seen stranger things happen.

could have been failing prior to the bump and simply needed a stress related issue to bend/break/malfunction

I ran my Z26 Beretta all night long doin 75-90mph and the transmission blew doing a small rev of the engine while in neutral coasting at like 3 mph......go figure...

Just got a call from the dealer and it is the flywheel, the bolts backed out on it.
