should the turbo blades look worn?
after taking my air intake off i noticed from what i could see that the turbo blades appeard to be worn. like a bit of dirt passed through the filter. is this normal? does the warranty cover the turbo and this kind of wear?

the only thing i have done to the car is a intake system. but im not sure the filter is doing its job, obvously. i have 19000 on the car. its this going to be a big factor in the reliability of the car?????
As far as your air intake system goes, if you bought a quality filter it is doing it's job. I see alot of turbos here, mostly on Cummins engines, and the compressor blades ALWAYS have deposits on them. In fact, sometimes it will look like cracks on the turbine, but it is actually carbon or dirt. What ever you do, DO NOT try and clean them off. Solvents could attack the seal for the bearings, or you may bend/damage a blade trying to remove it.
i can see how carbon and other such things get on the blades, but do you see any turbos that are worn.(the blades that is)? it sorta looks as if someone sharpend them, like a kinfe.
