Default Custom wheels???

Hey guys,
have any of you seen wheels in a satin blue color? A guy I workwith has a set of satin black wheels on his Jetta. They look super cool, but I would like them much better for my car if they were in satin blue. I looked all over tire rack and some of the other wheel manufacturers sites, but no blue wheels. I think they would look cool under a silver ride. Also, anyone here ever tried the BFG Scorchers? They look kinda neat, but do they work? I think window tint and wheels would be the only cosmetic mods I would do. I just don't like the boy racer look. It took a few weeks for the basket handle wing to grow on me.

Some wheel makers will custom paint your wheels any color you want, you'll just have to call around to find out. I'm sure it will cost a pretty penny though.[sm=smiley5.gif]

If you actually own those cars in your sig, then I'd be willing to become your bitch.[sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]JK JK I would love to trade you jobs though....................or at least paychecks.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]

I only own the first 2, but I dream of the rest of them. That would be somewhere in the ballpark of 3 to 4 million dollars for all of those. As far as being my byotch? My wife will only allow me to have one bitch at a time, and right now, she's making sure that one bitch is her!

I know what you mean, I don't have enough room for all the cars that I want. I kinda figured that it was a wish list. The Saleen S7 and the McLaren F1 are my 2 favorite super cars. I figured you might get a kick out of the biotch statement.[sm=smiley36.gif]Another little known car I love is the Vector.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley16.gif]Here is another car that I found and frickin' love:

Ah yes, the Vector. I remember those from when I was a teenager (so long ago). I defintely wanted one. Not many people remeber those things. One of the coolest things about living in the Detroit is that you get to see alot of neat stuff on the raod. When I was a seior in high school, Chrysler bought Lamborghini, so I got to see alot of Countach's driving around the area. It was pretty cool. I've seen 2 ZR1 vettes race from a stoplight, I actually got to drive 2 Viper GTS (1997) in the same day, and I even got to take Buick GNX #001 and a '70 Buick GSX Stage 1 out for a little spin and I'm really sorry guys, but the GNX is the far and away fastest street car I have ever driven. It would definitely blow the doors off my SRT.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but the SRT-4 is faster than the GNX's. The SRT-4 is electronically limited to a top speed of 148 MPH, however most that try it out achieve 150-155 MPH before the limiter kicks in. The Buick GNX is electronically limited to a top speed of 124 MPH, but it is believed that it can achieve a top speed of 150 MPH with the limiter disabled. As far as quickness, 1/4 mile times and speeds seem to be almost identical between the two. The only way to tell would be to have both with the same mileage and equally skilled drivers at the same track and conditions, then have the drivers swap cars and go again to actually tell. If you don't believe what I'm saying about the GNX, here is a link to the info, then click on performance: Guick GNX

I guess I should have said what I meant. I know the top end is less than the SRT, BUT, I drove the thing, and I own an SRT and I am telling you it's quicker. I'm not trying to rip on my SRT, I love the thing, but that GNX was a freak! Brake torque the thing, let the turbo spool up, and hang on..whooo baby! The air bag suspension kept it from getting too squirelly on me. It just wiggled the rear and made this jet engine sound. I'm starting to reminisce now (harps playing in background and fog around the edge of the scene). I read the articles you posted, but I've driven both and the GNX was defintely quicker. Maybe I have a bad SRT thats slower that the rest? Should I go to the dealer and demand a new one?

I would hope not. [sm=smiley24.gif]

It also comes down to traction and the GNX is alot better at it. They have bigger meats to grab with and they were available with an automatic, which both help to grab and go. The SRT-4's being FWD and having a low profile tire that is kinda narrow, kill any chance at really good traction. The numbers tell the tail though, the GNX IS slightly quicker in the 1/4 due to traction and boost, the SRT-4's boost is at a lower limit in 1st gear. The only difference between the 2 shows up in the 0-60, after that they are equals. [sm=smiley2.gif]If you also noticed while reading that website, some if not all of the prototypes/test cars were tweaked more than the actual production version.
