If I baby the throttle I can get 280 miles out of 9.7gallons (28'ish mpg)
If I mash the throttle and drive it like Im at a track the whole time I can get 170 out of the same amount of gas (17.5'ish mpg) My SRT4 is a stock '03 BTW.

For now I'm just riding my motorcycle for awhile to help with the US gas problem - I can get 45mpg all day on my bike. With a 7.5gallon tank thats a long way, its like 300 miles per tank before I start looking for a gas station. I can even run "regular" gas in my Connie.

If we all rode motorcycles to work for just one week we would save this country alot of gas.
I wonder when the prices will fall.....

I love the boost, so I average between 18.3 - 21 MPG.

I have gotten up to 27.4 mpg on a drive to the beach one but I usually average 22-24(still stock) . I also like to drive hard quite often though.

ORIGINAL: Hi N Mity

day to day driving, I shift the car at 15,25,35,45 mph cause thats what the manual says to do for the best fuel economy. Nice slow take-offs. I rarely use the boost, I usually get the gauge to -10 to 0 before I am shifting. today I did a 105 miles on 1st 1/4 of tank, i'm gonna break my record, and shoot for 350 on a tank
I beat ya on that one today. We should have a highest MPG contest! I shift the exact same way. Only more around the 12mph mark for 1st gear. I dont romp on my little guy at all.

I got 371.1 miles to this last tank of 93 octane from Mobil. Thats 30.9 miles or 31mpg. Play nice and it will too. Romp on it and watch the gas gauge fall.

Got 27 on a trip at a steady 70-75 with some city. Got 24 city /highway combined. Get somewhere around 20 all city/rural. I run 89 octane most of the time with no trouble. 93 on occasion. Stage 0. I don't always drive nice.

I would loose that contest badly, I live only 2 miles from work and most of my driving is in town. I would probably get every ricer under the sun trying to screw with me if I did try and I just can't let them get away with it, unless I'm really just not in the mood to bother.

14+ WOW! Maybe ill wait for S2...
Im liking this 18-19 mpg stock. The Marro (5.7L) only got 15 on a good day. The SRT just has a smaller tank
