What is the approximate cost of the K&N Typhoon and 'injen' CAI's? And, what about the new MOPAR #P4510919 CAI? Thanks!

If you go to modern performance the k&n is about 200, the injen is 175 and the mopar is like 350, mopar is real proud of there intake but im gonna go with the injen. I had an injen on my last car and i was very pleased with it plus for the price it is a way better deal.

ONn the mopar - just get an AEM cai and put mopar sticker on it.

Same exact thing.

BTW - I am a big fan of the aem.

How about moisture? I've been looking into CIA's, but was warned about added moisture due to the location of the intake because I live in the NorthWest. Is this something I should be worried about? I was also told that there is a moisture gaurd currently on the market for such an occasion which brings even more questions to the table.....Would that effect air flow? Should I go with the Ram air kit? Any ideas?

If you are worried about moisture - just get a sri. I have hydrolocked a motor previously and it is not an experience I care to repeat. I have the aem sri and love it. Everyone I know who HAS a sri is happy - but there are a lot of people who don't that poo-poo them. Better throttle response than stock or cai. No worries about sucking puddles into my engine. No problems in the winter. Combination of sri and 60 mm tb is ideal as far as I am concerned. It works on racecars, it works on our club racers, it works, period. The only advantage of a cai is on the strip where half a second of stale air is sucked out of the bay. Once moving there is very little difference in temp. (we checked with a probe and found this to be factual).
