My NEW turbo....sounds horrible...*vid clip*
I have never done this to my car, but when I worked on the small "bug smasher" airplanes, we always cut the filter open with a "ginsu" style knife and pulled the paper out and inspected it. They actually make a filter cutter tool, but the knife was faster. That is not a very high tech deal, but you could do it yourself. On the bigger aircraft and when I was in the military, we had a lab that could burn samples we collected from special draincocks. It's called spectrometric oil analysis. Remember in science class when the teacher put different metals under a flame? Each type of metal burns a different color so they can tell wear the metal came from based on its composition. This is actually a good idea in your case, even if it turns out clean.
Yeah I think Im gonna try this, and/or ask them to do it for me on Thursday when I drop the car off. Just today my fkn HID ballast on the driver's side blew out....so I have to go back to stock lights for now until I can get another ballast out of the company.
If its not one thing its another.
I also swapped my AEM SRI out and put a stock airbox back in (that I traded my friend for). Just until the car is fixed. That way if Chrysler has anything to say, everything in the engine is Mopar. (BOV and S1) Eventually Ill just get the Mopar CAI anyways...which they came out with like a month or two after I bought the AEM SRI.
If I dont have the worst luck in the world I dont know WHO does! [

this link shows some of the kits availible, they are pretty easy to use. http://www.ideutveckling.se/sampling%20kits.htm
So I found tonight, that if I turn the key to accessory for 10-30 seconds before starting the car, regardless of how cold the car is, it starts right up. Im gonna try out one of those kits, and just have the rest of the stuff taken care of at the dealership thursday. I think my best route to solving this problem, is by running tests myself, and by trial and error.
Otherwise the car will spend a lifetime at a dealership and nothing will ever get solved.
