Winter Words for the Wheel Wise
Well, with the 5 to 8 inches of snow tonight, and the assured schools closing in the morning, I will go outside, make a large snowball, and throw it as far to the southwest (your direction) as I can.
I went to discount a picked up a set of steel wheels and some hankook w404 non studded, but studdable....the complete set was $420 cause i told them there was a winter package for 400 so they matched it......just wanted to shed my 2 cents on the tires.....for being a fairly cheep tire i haven't had any problems getting traction,up hill or on ice the thing just goes......[sm=smiley20.gif]
Got about 11" in my area today.....

Yeah we only got about 8 where I work (20 mi west + closer to lake Mi.) and about 5-6 where I live, but it was enough to close schools for the day. This was on top of the 5 or so we already had, as it was snowing a little every day last week. Boy are the snowmobilers in heaven.
hey, Bridgestone Blizzaks kick ***. I've used them before on my Merkur XR4TI (its rwd for those that don't know). It was sooo much fun driving arond, never got stuck. They even had a great hole shot in the dry! I'm thinking about picking up a set for my str-4 after getting stuck in my own driveway for about 4 hours last night!
