hi im kind of new here and just got a sliver srt-4 2004.. and wanted to know if i should get stg1 w/toys or stg2 w/toys ,will stg2 be worth it and is there somewhere else were i can get a better price for a stg2 w/toys then from mopar.com. im new to srt-4's im still alot of researching on them. And whats the best BOV to get .. THANX

 

hey man - welcome.

First off there is no s1 with toys, so that makes the decision a little easier. I have a silver '04 and s2 with toys and think it is a killer combo. Too bad you didn't check in a couple days ago someone sold the stuff for 500$ and I have never seen it that low.

Stage 2 is definitely worth it. I ran 13.2 at the strip my first time ever there with s2. HOM kicks *** and DAB is a great feature. THe intercooler sprayer works as well. Even at 1500$ which I paid (although some will argue this) it is hard to beat ( a reliable 50 hp boost, with a 4 stage boost controller, a fuel remap switch to advance timing and ignition sequence with failsafes to protect the engine incase knock is detected, an intercooler sprayer, 3 bar map and tip sensors, adjustable wastegate, ecu...).

On BOV - I think they are unnecassary for most cars, if you want the sound get the mopar for 60$ and spend the 300+extra you would spend on an aftermarket one on a 3" downpipe with a remote cutout. That will net you a difference you can feel.

 

read the sticky at the top about the mopar performance stages. from this figure out what you want to do with the car. do a search, there are many threads discussing stage 1 vs. stage 2. also stage 1 doesn't come w/ toys it is just a pcm and injectors for 03's.

thanx.. so the s2 w/toys its about 1599. man i wish i could of seen that 500 ofer for s2,was it in good conditions? how does the mopar BOV sound?

I like the sound. If you want that high pitched import type whistle this isn't it. Definitely don't need s1 to go s2. and it is 1389 at modern i think.
