There's nothing wrong w/ your car.....these aren't the droids you're looking for......
Punks. I have to say it again. My dealership wrenchriders are PUNKS!!! I know, and from previous posts you guys know, my boost guage is BUNK. Well, apparently, the vibration and noise that is coming from my "dash" is nothing more than good old natural Neon rattling. "The service manager even took her for a spin and couldn't find anything that wasn't normal noise" Since when is a rattling dash (MY BOOST GUAGE!) normal. The guage even rests on -3 when it's off! "Well, we didn't run across any TSB about a boost guage....BLAH....BLAH....BLAH!!! So what now? Another dealership? Buy my own 30psi upgrade and install it? I WILL be having my dash apart very soon, if I ever get my CAI and turbo timer from Modern....(3-5 days.... HAH!)
That sucks. Is the dealership a five star dealer? I would have insisted on going on the ride with the service manager, after all, it's YOUR car. Time to elevate it and check with another dealer. You might wanna check with the BBB on the # of service complaints a particular dealer has had.....

BBB is the Better Business Bureau. Most larger towns/cities have one. They keep tabs on complaints........at no charge.

May I make a suggestiion? (thanks) What I have done in the past with stubborn/ignorant service managers is tell them if I have to fix the problem (while the car is still under warranty) and a new gauge works that they will re-imburse me for the gauge or I will call Daimler/Chysler and tell them about this dealer and watch the **** fly. I am subborn and wouldn't except this BS about normal Neon sounds. My dash doesn't make noise nor does my Brother-in Laws '05. You can print this and hand it to your dealer/owner. Tell the owner you wouldn't buy another vehicle from them nor will you recommend them unless they fix your car.
There, I feel better already. Kinda put myself in your shoes and got pissed too.
PS. They don't have to have a TSB if something is bad.

I've pulled my dash up 2x's to replace bad boost gauges. After installing new gauges I have zero rattles or noise.
If the boost gauge is not on 0 when car is off, its bad........

Heres a good story for ya!
Took mine into the dealer for overboost code 3 times on my srt. Every time it went in they said nothing was wrong. I took it to another dealer in a different city and was told it was a vac. leak. Light came back again and again I took it back to the same one that narrowed it down to a vac. leak and they said they were hearing barring noise from the turbo. At this point when all this was going on my car was bone stock with 7000 miles on it. They replaced the turbo and w/g and now im only hitting about 9-10 lbs of boost. The car feels as strong as when I first got it when it was reading 15-16 pounds but just not reading the same on the boost guage. Any one think it could be a bad guage or what?

I also would say it's the gauge. Does it read "0" when car is off? Go back to that good dealer and tell them the gauge is not working properly or maybe you have another leak. Hope you get it replaced or fixed. Good luck!
Just bitch, bitch, bitch. I took mine in and they told me it was just a normal rattle and "not to worry". I waited about a month because I didn't have time to go back in and when I did, they said since they said nothing was wrong, they were not going to fix it. Then I went in on a Saturday where there was sure to be a lot of people on the lot and in the service department. I started to make a scene and about 30 seconds into raising my voice, they fixed it.
