Default Pics of my New Engine

I ran into a snag putting the new engine together. The Crankshaft studs were too long. The new studs should be here this coming week, so it'll be another week before the engine is back in the car. In the meantime, I have some pics for y'all. (click small image to see full size).

I like. It's good to see some good american muscle being built. Some of my friends are vw nuts and they are building motors, ect.ect. My friend is building a 2.1 turbo 16v, I would love to have your motor under my hood, so I could show him what a real car can do. Your making all of us srt owners proud. These vw guys think they own it all, it is actually getting really annoying. Another friend is looking at getting the new gti. It seems nice and he say a chip and exhaust will put him at 260hp and 303lbft. blah, blah, blah. Seems they all want to beat the american car. They all seem to think that just cause its american it can't hang wth the imports. I rode along in the test drive and was mildly impressed, not a great looking car, but it does have some go. Vw people just think germany has the answer for anything, so I hope to see more big horse motors, and I hope you ruin a lot of import drivers dream...sorry just venting, and good luck on the motor it looks impressive!

So sweet. You are making me so envious. [:@] I wish I didn't have to pay my student loans off so I could do stuff like that....lol. My project is temporarily on hold until I get the rest of what I need for it. Then some people will be punked by what appears to be a std neon....well actually most people don't know what the hell my car is. Good luck with your build, post more pics of the progress. And when you finish post up some vids of the beast. I want to see what it can do!

They have the answer for starting world wars and building luxury cars...not much else.

Warning: these are large pictures.

Even in the sun, from the wrong angle it looks black:

With the sun on it, you see the color come out.

These were taken before I put all of the trim pieces back on and reinstalled the lights. I'll be getting more pictures, hopefully turning the car toward the sun more so that more of the car shows the color. Either that or I just need to put some bright lights on it.
