major boost issue
i cant figure this one out at all i get is 7 lbs on s2 even with a boost controller i can turn it up all the way and i get 7 lbs max it was runnin 19 lbs fine the whole time and all of a sudden ,7 lbs, i dont notice any boost leek or anything and ive tryied 2 different wastegates and 2 differnt boost controllersany sugestions at all
Did you remove the TIP sensor lines from the car? The white/red vaccum lines? The Red line should go to the UPP, and the White line goes straight across from the TIP to the solenoid?
If you did, the PCM is no longer controlling the boost, and all your getting out of the system is what the spring weight is on the WGA. Its an 8lb spring, so that makes sense.
When I shut my EBC off, with the S2WGA, all I get is 7-8lbs of boost, because thats the spring on it. Are you sure everythings hooked up right? If you hooked everything up with the green line, that could be your issue.

lil sparkplug, question: Im running bigger turbo, in reference to your last post, should i have the tps disconnected or should i leave it on. Im running t67 turbo with honda 750cc injectors. What do you think>?
If you disconnect them, your completely removing PCM controlled boost right out of the question. If you want to. Cap off the white and red lines, the one right below it on the solenoid is only a cap. It SHOULD help you out. DONT unplug the tip, just leave it there or you'll end up throwing codes.
It does nothing, ESPECIALLY for a big turbo setup.

the tip sensor mod only helps you not throw overboost codes on s0, it doesn't help you control boost at all.
1fastneon- sounds like you are running directly off the wga. check the lines, one probably blew off.
domincan - it makes no difference to you because you aren't using the stock soilinoid pack or lines anymore (or at least you shouldn't be). you should be running off one line really, so there's no need for any of that with your set up. i believe you're using a safc? that's controling your boost so you have no issues.

all lines are on ive checked and double checked b/c thats the first thing i thought. the car was running great on the way down the the sema show in philly but like 1/2 way there it started running bad so it cant be that i mixed lines up. when i reset the computer i get 10 lbs for the first spike then right back down and it takes a while to gain boost. i have the greddy profec b ebc any other thoughts???
checked all the likes and everythings good i put stock wastegate in and and i still get 7 lbs cant figure this out at all

trying different things every day.... today I decided to run new vacume lines from the back of the turbo to the ebc and from the ebc to the WGA so theres no breaks in the lines at all and i still get 7 lbs. if i take the ebc off and hook up to the PCM selonoid i only get 5 lbs. Its gettin more and more complecated. The turbo only has 3000 miles on it.. anybody have any ideas at all?????
I had the same exact problem with my set up. I have stg 1 w/ a stg 2 WGA and I could'nt go over 5 psi, no matter what I did. I even went so far as to remove and cap all EBC lines and run 1 line from the turbo directly to the WGA. No change. I was under the impression that with the EBC turned off, you would boost the same as stock. Was I ever wrong! I tried several different vac line routings and nothing. Finally, I removed everything out of pure frustration (including the stg 2 WGA) and went back to stock vac line routing. Everything runs perfect now. All I need to do now is sell my never been used greddy profec b spec II. I don't know why I couldn't get it to work on my car, I just couldn't. I tried all I could think of, went step by step by step and still nothing. I didn't even try to tune the darn thing, just because if it wasn't going to act stock with it turned off, I don't need it. That's been my experience with electronic boost control. I'm for sure going stg 3R because without a dyno and my own personal mechanic it is too frustrating.
