No. You can get a Mopar BOV for anywhere from about $55 to $65.....the install is a bear.[:@]

Super car. Most fun you can have with your clothes on. Cheap speed and easy to upgrade. Best bang for the bucks!!!![sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

Awesome... I was looking at buying one and I went buy the dealership last Sunday....place was like a ghost town so I didn't hear her fired up (Pennsylvania Car dealerships cannot be open on sudsy for some odd reason) anyway I was disappointed.

I'm looking at buying one but being 20, I don't have a good enough credit history to finance it, and well mom and dad aren’t so keen to the idea of my first car being a new sports car. So they aren't going to co-sign for it now, (at least for now).

Not to give you bad news, but the insurance rates for a single male under 25 are very, very high.

I didn't get to test drive mine before I bought it, but the salesman did start it up. The sound sold me.

I now have the Mopar/Borla exhaust system on it and it's louder as well as adding HP to the car. You can do several upgrades yourself.

Tell your parents, "Hey, it's a 4-door Neon for crying out loud!!!"

Good luck!!![sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley14.gif]

yah........ I can see father saying... " I was born at night not last night Alex...... I know you! If you have it, all you would do is burn outs."

........lol

On the brighter side, my mom thinks I should get a Subaru b/c they have a high resale value.... maybe I could weasel my way into a STI !!!!!! Oh man all that power and AWD, lots of room for mods... But my heart would still be in a dodge SRT-4... and my extra $10,000 or so would be too!... lol

Dusty, is that correct?

does the stock SRT-4 have a BOV?

No.
I thought the car came stock with one, just not the one we all have added... I thought all we actually added was a conversion (something like a plenum (sp) spacer)... it just goes inbetween the BOV and the turbo? or did I misunderstand that one? my turbo knowledge is - how do you say - ahh yes... lacking! haha...

either way, it sounds sweet and I know there have been a few looks from it hehe...

You're right SRT YA- the car does come with a BOV- It's a required item on all turbos so that the back pressure from getting on and off the throttle rapidly won't bind the intake turbine and cause the shaft btn that and the exhaust turbine to snap.
The stock BOV just dumps the air back into the intake, so you can't hear it, while the conversion kit dumps it into the engine compartment, and is nicely engineered to give that beautiful sound we turbo owners have all come to love.[sm=smiley16.gif]
