Default Wheel Shimmy?

Was wondering if anybody has had this problem. The Steering wheel at about 80-90 mph will get a real goo shimmy or vibration, I have already balanced the tire and checked for bent wheels and everything is good. Mihgt have a bent axle or something with suspension? The car is lowered, so the next thing is an alignment. Well see, would appreciate the imput.--Thanks

Sounds like a alignment problem but i would also check tire wear...Uneven tire wear or cupping would cause a shimmy at higher speeds.

nothing much just trying to drum up some bussiness. The alignment hasn't been done yet, thats tonight, also going to check the axles to make sure that their tight.

hey if your using after market rims....i read you need to take your wheels off.......and if there is a little washer holding the disk brake rotor in place.......remove them.....said it really makes a difference.....but you dont have to if your using stock rims

Thanks for the reply, but man that seems a little far fetched. Who did you hear that from. The wheels are 8" wide wheel appossed from the 6" stock wheel . Any way thanks man.

Not saying that is what your problem is but i have seen it before on customers cars..They put retainer clips on the rotors from the factory to keep everything from moving around and some aftermarket wheels sit really tight and if thats there, think of it as a offset only in one spot!!!
