Neon / Charger / Vette
Dude, PLEASE don't get a vette unless you are getting a brand new one, meaning an '06. The older ones (especially the wedge) are slow as christmas stock, unless you're going Z06, then you're looking at dropping some major coin. You could get an older Mustang Cobra, say an '03, and spank any older Vette for less money. I don't particularly like Mustangs, just a thought. The new Vette is an entirely different story, especially the Z06, which is a Lamborghini killer. I do NOT believe you should get rid of the SRT because, well, I'm just biased toward SRT-4s. I happen to repair cars for a living, so trust me when I say don't get a Vette. I'm really not trying to knock you Vette owners out there, it is just that it's been my experience after working on several Vettes that they are POS's (all the ones I've dealt with anyway, and I mean BEFORE I did anything to them..............they probably weren't much better afterwards......). Just my 2 cents.

Auto vettes can get 30+ MPG Freeway driveing - Allso depends on which rear end your vette has but average gass milage for a C5 round town is 20+. On a 17 Gallon tank i Pull 300-350 miles City driveing (Houston) that includes some "spirited" driveing = Rare i go less than 80mph. I can take a trip from H-Townn to Corpus Christi on half a tank.
Ive gotten all up on my vette........165 Mph.....Highest ive had the ***** to take her. Shell get from 80mph to 140 Mph in only a matter of seconds.... Ull be doing 140 b4 you know it aka you wont even feel like your going that fast. I wouldent call that slow as ****. (bone stock)
reject you obviously read as well as you listen you made no sense i dont care where you live if i pay 100.00 for my insurance here and 300 for a vette then where you live say ill pay 156 for my srt and ill still pay more for the vette like 356 probably not 56 more on both but thats the point no matter where you live if one sports car is higher than the other sports car it will be higher everywhere that wont hold true with some other vehicles but when comparing these it will do you understand that now or should i get a translator
racevette any newer cobra versus an older unmodded vette would spank it hands down the new mustang gt comes close to those older vettes with a 13.5 1/4 those cobras are in the 12s the new c6 is only in the mid 11s low 12s 11.5-12.1 so the 03 cobra vs older vette = embarrassment for the chevy
