Nope, no ones put one of these bad boys on a dyno, yet

JK

Dodges numbers are a bit underrated

There have been some cars putting out 230/250 to the wheels stock, or close to it.

when Dodge says 230 they mean 230 at the wheels when most car manufactors say horse power they mean at the crank and you usually lose like 30 hp through the trany and and drive line. sport compact magazine dyno'd and they got 227hp and 256lb-ft of torque at the wheels. there is a pic of their dyno sheet.

It is a ways down, but that is the baseline dyno sheet that grassroots motorsports mag did on their srt4.

The dyno is true, yes... Dodge didn't rate the numbers as intended to be whp though. They just underated the actual crank numbers.

i think it is because when they were putting the turbo on and were doing all that work they were doing it on a wheel dyno. it probly made it cheeper to design the car. and having a neon with 280 hp would look way over the top.

A very popular Sport Compact parts dealer on the internet has an interesting fact sheet on the different mods for the SRT-4...they also state the real HP of the stock SRT-4 is more like 250 HP.....I can't give the link in respect to our sponsors, but an email to me will get it to you....
