Going off on the guy wouldn't have changed anything, he obviously didn't have any money to make your car right and would have ignored any citation the police gave him. You probably saved yourself some long term frustration..........

Man I don't know if I could've done what you did, but I honor it. Compassion is rare. Folks like that NEED to be OUT of this country though. Two of the bastards (male) ran a stop sign in a Camry right in front of my wife who was doing about 50 or so in her new Prius. She barely had time to hit the brakes. Spun the Camry 180 degress in a ditch. Killed the Prius, but that little car saved her life, hell, all 4 doors opened like it was stiil new. Anyway, while she and another motorist tried to get ahold of the cops, etc. on the cell the ******** ran off through a field. Gdamn VA sate troopers didn't do a whole lot about finding them either, never did. If someone had been killed, maybe they would have been more interested. The Camry was never claimed, it had Tennesee tags. So our insurance (and everyone's premiums) ended up paying for those illegal's mistakes. I know that if I had been in the car with her I could not have stayed as cool as you did.

Sorry to hear about your wife bro, but glad to hear that she is ok. Yeah he took off but I wonder if he felt that he hit me... his spare tire in the back rubbed up against my hood and caused it to lift up. Not to sure if he felt it or not, well either way, its to late for me to stay pissed or anything like that all I can do is just save up for my new hood and leave a 80 ft gap in between me and any cars around me... lol. Don't get me wrong, when the whole thing happened I was really pissed off I mean I wanted to strangle this guy to death, but then I started thinking, even if I choke this guy my hood will still have a dent in it and I will still be pissed. So I let him go, it will probably be one of the only times that I do this, but I felt that guy had to worry more about his family than fixing my hood, a hood is replacable a hungry family isn't. Thats the way I see it, maybe he does deserve to get his *** deported or maybe he is different and is actually here to work and make a living, I gave him that opportunity by letting him go, I just hope he takes advantage of it.

 

so did you at least report a hit and run??? get something from your insurance company to cover the damages
