VTECH is made by idiots without an imagination. A NOOB is a newbie to the site, not to the world, get over it. For all you know he could be the man that taught you what you know. VTEC is made by the biggest engine manufacturer in the world HONDA. Don't believe me? look it up. VTEC was introduced in 1989 and since then HONDA made well over millions of VTEC engines and not a single one came back with a faulty VTEC, that's built quality.

It doesn't make a Damn difference if your car can run 3's in a quarter if it trembles like a ***** on a site of a corner. An SRT-4 chassis wasn't designed to make corners close to 2G or even 1G while running in the 10's or 9's. not even Honda can do that unless they were 4 wheel drive. Face it, to make it go into the 9's you have to have a welded/solid differential, & to make it turn you need a carbon LSD. Ariel chassis was designed to make corners, its whole purpose of creation was to give a bike effect.

Don't get me wrong I'm not bad mouthing the SRT motor, its a good strong motor. Ariel will fit any 4 cylinder engine in their Atom on request, provided it's not more then their specific dimensions. so you can also have your SRT-4 motor in an Atom (Plus for you guys).

Besides, about the Atom being legal or not on the US road...yes it is...DOT will register it and issue plates for it....even Jay Leno has one.

There is two ways to win this with the SRT-4. The first would be to race in the pouring rain, it would be hard to see, hard to accelerate and the pedals would be slick in the Atom. The second would be a top end run on the freeway, if the Atom is indeed limited to 135mph top end then you'll win, but if it's limited like Dodge claimed the SRT-4 was, much like it's horsepower ratings,then your screwed.

 

If being screwed needed an example in the dictionary, this would be it. The car plus drive is about 1100 - 1300 pounds. Depending on what motor as well. I just recently saw one and talked with the owner while he showed off what his could do. It was Turbo JDM RSX(INTEGRA) TYPE R. Its was so much of a dam beast that he would rev it up to 10000rpm before he would move. At first I thought it was BS, but he repeted this more then a few times to prove his could rev up to 12000rpm before he would start to damage it. Anyways he boasted about it being ableput out 380whp - 420hp. Anyways he was driving a 800hp car that still got 28mpg. haha... what are the odds of that. He said that the car is in a grey area of what is considered a kit car and a manufactured car. He reg. it as a kit car because it came in parts and he put a diffrent motor. Anyways out of the box that car still does low to high 12s. And for under 30k that pretty good if you ask me compared to aonce was brand newsrt4.

On a diffrent note, has anyone one heard of anyone putting a Viper Motor in to a intrepid? As a rival agains Chey 90's impala that had a vet.motor swap?
