Mopar Performance/Borla Exhaust On It's Way
Yep, I thought it might be my coffin, didn't think I was dead yet.[sm=smiley36.gif] I think I'll be keeping mine, at least for now. I took a stab at getting the old exhaust off, but then the rubber mounts kicked my a** big time. I tried oiling them and all, they were just tooo frickin' tight to get to slide off and I've done this before on other cars with minimal trouble. I'm going to take it to the local exhaust shop and let them [sm=smiley35.gif] with it. Besides, I was wanting them to make me a SS straight pipe to replace the straight pipe with the resonator, just in case I ever want to change it later.
Yeah, after I saw the trouble the shop had getting the passenger side tip lined up right, I was sorta glad I had taken it in...[&:]
Did they read the instructions that came with it before hand? They might not have known about step 6, this is where you are supose to measure the exhausts relation to the under side of the car to insure correct exhaust system and tip alignment.
I doubt it, they were too busy eyeballing the car and the engine to read anything. They eventually got it right though and the pipes are even, unlike the stock ones....[&:]
I noticed that on my car the tail pipes were starting to hang in different directions... like a cross-eyed kid... it appears, at least on my car, the rubber piece on the hanger that supports the tail pipes (specifically the last hanger closest to the tip) was "giving" more on one side (the design of the rubber piece looked rather poor and seemed to allow for this... maybe I should take a picture?? anyway)... I temp. fixed it with "tie wire"... not perfect... not professional... but it keeps my friends from pointing it out to me
possible fix - Borla/Mopar Exhaust
come on paychecks... can't spend them quick enough

I had the same problem for the same reason and the dealer swore they couldn't do anything about it. That's when I started looking for aftermarket systems....[sm=smiley5.gif]
My stock exhaust seems to be nice and straight, however it seems to stick out a little farther on the passenger side. Oh well, just means I need to get my new exhaust on it.
F[sm=smiley35.gif]k yes![sm=smiley7.gif][sm=smiley7.gif][sm=smiley7.gif] It has rained at least 3 times here in the past 12 hours with still more expected today. Saturday is "supose" to be nice and then rain again for the next 3 days after that. I might get lucky and get it into a garage to do the install.[sm=smiley24.gif]
....Or build an ark!!![sm=smiley5.gif]
I think (hope) our rainy season is over with for a few months....now it's just going to be hotter than blazes till October...[:'(]
