Default FSTB & Full Pillar Triple Gauge Pod

I received my MPx front strut tower brace and full pillar triple gauge pod from Modern Performance yesterday. I already have 2 gauges for the pillar pods, Auto Meter electric oil pressure gauge and volt meter, now I need to figure out what I want to fill the last spot.[sm=smiley24.gif] When I get all this put in I will post the pics of it.[sm=smiley2.gif]

Exhaust temp would be a good one to fill in your last pod

If you go w/ the A/F ratio let me know what you do re: the O2 sensor.

I got my STB put on, I did it at work while it was slow. It looks great and helped stiffen it up through the curves, just like it did with my R/T.

I would like to get an A/F ratio gauge, but the problems with installing one (having to use another O2 sensor) have changed my mind. I'm now leaning towards the EGT gauge.

RR, did you use a torque wrench on the STB, or did you just tighten it down by feel??? I heard it was easy to strip the threads....[sm=smiley5.gif][sm=smiley16.gif]

the service manual calls for 300 in. lbs. of torque on the strut tower nuts, which seems a bit excessive to me (and by a bit i mean quite a bit).

I went by feel. What I did was retorque two of the nuts before I removed them. I positioned the ratchet, made a mental note of it's exact position, broke the nut loose (about half a turn) and then turned it back to it's fully tightened position to get a feel for the correct amount of torque. It seems to have worked out well. I will retorque them when I get to my torque wrench, which is in storage, and I believe that 300 in. lbs. is the exact same as what my R/T's was. Thanks for the specs. Barneydriver.[sm=smiley20.gif]

why not a coolant temperature sensor...most cts's are basically idiot lights that are either off...middle, or hot. So something with a bit more range would be a healthy thing to monitor

All of my cars, including the SRT-4, have very accurate and effective temperature gauges. I need something that I don't already have, which is why I got an oil pressure and volt gauge.

I have the same triple pillar and I put the voltmeter, oil temp, and transmission temp into it. I have pictures posted on my web page.

It looks really cool in the car and the color match is perfect.
