Default Greddy Profec spec II EBC.. P1188 Code

after installing my EBC and running it for almost 200 miles my car threw a P1188 code today.. it was while i was in low boost mode which is programmed at 0 for everything and runs about 6-7 PSI when my car is floored.

Has this ever happened to anybody before? I was expecting a boost code because i am running 17 PSI in high mode but instead i got this.. the message in the OBD II says

"Manufacturer Controlled Fuel and Air Metering"

can any one fill me in on what exactlly this code is telling me and if i should be worried about fixing it or is it just because i am running low boost and the ECU isn't programmed for 6-7 PSI

P.S. the ODB II diagnostic tool that was used only went up to 03' SRT-4s and my SRT-4 is an 04' I figured the ECUs in the 03' & 04's would be the same so i just went under the 03' section

any one have any ideas?

i cleared the code and it popped back up when i floored it and it got up to 16 PSI and the boost was moving up and down.. i think it has to do with the tuning on the boost controller i have been trying to get it to peak and stay at one spot.. easier said then done but i am working on it

I have the same EBC, I spike 19, hold 16-17....and never got any such code.

*Edit* Nevermind I found it, and the reason behind it.

You don't have a Staged Computer, therefore you have a very low spark knock setting. SOOOOOOO you are hitting serious part throttle overboost, because the PCM is seeing more boost than it would like to see.

well that was the beginning.. now my EBC no longer can control the boost my turbo puts out.. if i floor it in any gear it will run up to as high as it wants to.. right now i can't floor my car at all because it will easily run up to above 20 PSI on its own.. somethings wrong.. maybe the problem I was having before was a ruptured intercooler piping.. i am going to take the EBC out and return it to stock to see if i have the same problem.. if i do then i am going to take everything out of my car and take it back to the dealership..

should i take the aftermarket WGA out of it if i take it back to the dealership?

if they ask me any questions i am going to say its how i bought my car because i bought it used and they sold me a warranty with it

Maybe the spring in the WGA is bad....or the WGA is entirely bad.

I didn't have any problems at all with the wastegate. Of course I didn't run an EBC with it and I also had stg 1 ECU. I was spiking like 18-20 and holding 16-17. Me thinks you need staged ECU. The stock ones no fun.

i figured out the problem.. i went to go remove all aftermarket parts and saw the one hose connected to the T coming off the boost controlled got disconnected.. i picked up smaller hosing to prevent it from happening again and the engine code went away by itself

At least it was something simple and didn't require a full fledged argument with the dealership. ALWAYS zip tie those bad boys on there, all mine are.
