Default Hit A Fox!! Help!!

What's up everyone, ok I was driving home on 95 North in P.A. after work about 530am. I'm crusing along at about 65-70 and out of no where a fox appears so i went around it on the right but then I saw the other one following him and I just couldn't do anything to avoid him, hit him dead on towards the right side of the front bumper. I pull over and get out fearing that I did something terrible to the car and to my surprise there's nothing wrong at all in the front except i got some hair on the bumper and the intercooler there's the smallest little dent, like one of the vents was hit with a rock or something, I look under and I see something hanging down, I was wondering if someone can tell me what this piece is. It's about 4-5 inches long and a inch and a half wide. Looks like a protective plate or something. Sorry about the quality of the pic it was taken with my phone, Im goin to try to get a better one but I need sleep. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

I am not 100% positive but I think it is the air deflector for the oil cooler. Is it right behind the wheels kinda in the middle of the car?

Yep, I'm pretty sure that its just the air deflector then. Just go to your dealer and they should just fix it for you. Mine actually started falling off by itself due to bad rivets. They had it fixed up in about 15 minutes.

if it makes you feel any better I did $1300 in damage a couple of months ago hitting a fox. I was driving a lowered Saturn......it ripped the front passenger side of the bumper apart and cracked the fender and pushed the foglight right up behind the bumper mount. It also broke my corner marker light and busted out the wheel well guard. Orangesrt got to see that damage. Damn plastic cars!!

dont make me feel better, but i dont feel so dumb now, i thought i was the only one to hit a fox, looked like a damn dog that came out of no where lol. I'm just glad that it didnt do any real bad damage, sorry to hear about your bad fortune though, i hit this thing doin like 70, it was crossing from right to left and i hit it on the right side of my front bumper, i think it still lived, i didnt run it over and i had cars directly behind me and they didnt move lol

After seeing what it did to the deflector, I'm guessing that the fox is a road coaster and was probably tossed off to the side. I figure that it's head hit the deflector by it's condition and lack of blood, which would most certainly be an instant death.
