Short-Throw added!
Got home from work, found a nice surprise... opened the box, couldn't believe my eyes...
okay, a bad rhyme...
To answer a question Road Runner had - no instructions were shipped with the Short throw, just simple instructions for the Booger bushings...
how did it go... not too bad... about a 6 on the difficulty meter - why? cause I had to work in that small cockpit of the car...
how does it work?? well... I stalled the car in the garage thinking it was in neutral... but was in first... missed second gear on my first "test run" and heard that wonderful sound of metal on metal... otherwise... my only question is - why isn't this thing factory?? come on Mopar... this should be factory and a new even shorter short throw should be made

the attached images are a limited attempt to show the difference in throws... I don't know if they really show much though... I am guessing about 1 inch to 1-1/2 inches of less travel in the throw... just a rough guess though... either way, with the bushings and all, it feels much "firmer"...

Thanks for the info.[sm=smiley20.gif] I'm glad to see and hear that you got it and are enjoying it, one stall and grinding all the way.[sm=smiley36.gif] It looks as though it mainly shortens the forward throws, which is what I mainly want shortened. Now I need to get off my butt and put mine in.
I only drove around with it "on" for about 45 minutes... so... I think you may be right on the second gear thing... I know neutral is whole lot tighter than before... there is still some play when you have the car in gear, but... and the shifts between the gears is "tighter"... for me third gear was always a problem, I tended to not let it engage and was always (well, not always - but more than I wanted to) miss 3rd... I think that will be eliminated now... however, the 1st to 2nd shift feels a bit firmer, but I attribute this to the new bushings... I didn't have grease available to "lube" them during the install like suggested by Booger...
As far as why it didn't come stock, there were concerns about the extra effort it took, violated some DCX rule. I love havimg new owners sit in my car and just shift it. Watching the surprise on their face which turns into a smile
"Hey, that's nice, that's Mopar, ya say?" "How much, and where?"

Thats sweet, I ordered mine and should have by the end of the week. At least one time at the track I have a hard time going from 2nd to 3rd. This should greatly improve my shifting. [sm=smiley17.gif]I was wondering how much it shortened it, thanks for the great pictures.
