is it bad for you to run straight dp on your car?

its not bad, not that i know of but you might loose backpressure if your completely stock and sometimes you can loose HP instead of gaining because of it.

well i got the injen dp and i dont throw a lite cuz it has a o2 housing in it.. i mean its runs like a monster and sounds loud..... just wanted to make sure it wudnt harm the motor by runnin straight dp

Turbochargers are their own backpressure, so that isn't an issue. Besides, the SRT-4 has more than enough torque which is why 1st gear is almost useless. While backpressure can affect horsepower, it is far more an issue of torque. Generally more backpressure equals more torque, but only to a certain limit before it hinders it. The opposite goes for horsepower, where less backpressure generally equals more horsepower.

all i know all bout the backpressure n stuff lol.. i just need know if it cud harm ur motor running straight dp meaning no exhaust or cat... cause my friend said it burns ur internals alot faster but im not to sure on it so i wanna know so i dont kill my baby

It won't hurt anything. You can get the side exit exhaust to keep the exhaust gases out of the car and make it ever so slightly more legal.
