I just visited the Ion Redline forum and the majority of their topics they are trashing SRT-4's. The envy displayed made me laugh.....just thought I would share......

EDIT: I think I found their forums. I saw all their dynos, and what I was wondering is, why is their peak torque so low? The SRT's seem to be killing them in torque.

 

Yup, I've seen it ALOT on ricer brand forums.....I guess when you paid $10,000 too much for your car that gives you a right to bitch!

ive read some links from them, and it seems that the realistic ones know that their cars arent very fast, yet they still talk trash..

Yeah, nine out of ten of them were idiots. I raced a "Stage 4" Cobalt on a 1000 foot track the other day and he bested my 11.21 with his 11.19. He was a pretty cool guy and we were both headed back home the same direction so me and him and one of his friends with a GM Stage 2 Cobalt (11.59) and did some highway rolls. From 30...40....even a 60 mph roll. EVERY single time we ran up to about 130mph and every time I pulled at least 5-8 car lengths on him. Traction, he had me beat hands down. Power, well.......... I can say I was impressed with the Cobalt. He had his set up so that his power didn't start coming on till about 4000-4500 rpm, so he could hard launch it and just go brrp..vroom. I'm over there giving half throttle and feathering the clutch and still burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rppppppppppprrrrrrrrppppppprrrrrrrppppppprrrrr.... . shhhhhhhh vrooooom brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp shhhhhhh

i've got a worse one...i OWNED an edsel!!!!! a lovely 1959 edsel in lemon yellow with beige. i loved that car. it was so ugly that it was fun!!!!

you guys thing that the redline forms are bad, you have to read the prius forums! yes, that's right i said prius. they claim that they can out handle mustang gt's and can beat rsx's and even bikes off the line. yes, you did read that right. they're "torque monsters" with 450 ft-lbs and 83 hp. but they're only fast from 0-6mph......
