I got a ticket not so long ago, 6/24/2006 to be exact at 4:35 am. I was speeding, going about 125, got clocked at 130, I was scared ****less. I pull over off the freeway, cop walks over to my window, first question was have I had anything to drink, he looks at me and sees I haven't and sees my girl sitting next to me. To my surprise he starts joking with me, he was telling me to wash my car, he said the car looks way better with the front plate off, one of his nephews has the car. I was tripping out, He still gave me a ticket though. Before he gave me the ticket, he told me, I am giving you a little discount, he put that I was only going 90 on the ticket. Now, I know I said this before but that was a freakin miracle. Now the other miracle. I went to court and the ticket doesn't come up at all on their system. I checked on-line, over the phone and in person and the ticket doesn't show up at all, they said it doesn't even exist... whats going on? Input please.....

 

You could have just kept going the cop would be so far behind you at those speeds. Cop cars acclerate very slow. But thats nice that he gave you a 90mph ticket and thats weird that the ticket didn't show up.

 

untill you get to the next exit and there is a fleet waiting for you, nicky....tough to outrun the radio.
he wanted to just slow you down, and it probably worked (for a while at least).

 

It worked for about 2-3 days actually, i was scared ****less, I badly didn't want to mess up my perfect driving record, but now I see that he might have been a cooler cop than I though. He was joking with me telling me to lower the car a bit more cus it had somewhat of a truck stance.. who knows what happened to my ticket....

 

I don't believe I would question it, just accept that there's no info about your ticket on file and move on ticket free!!!

cop cars accelerate really slow? guess you've never seen a cop in ny......these cars are fast as hell. camaro state troopers, and even a corvette that sprays.

consider yourself lucky, slow down, and get a good radar detector!

 

Sometimes a cop will not turn in a ticket for a variety of reasons. Most PDs require accounting of all of the ticket serial #'s (we signed them out in books of 25 tickets). However, mistakes happen and normally if I gave a reasonable explanation to my Sgt, nothing was said about the "missing ticket"......they just didn't want to see it happen on a regular basis.
