Another SRT-4 wrecked
That's nasty. Hopefully you've got a good insurance company that will go after the other guy and work with you on your damages. Glad to hear that you're OK. Sometimes muscle injuries and the like can take a day or two to appear.....see a doctor if you don't feel 100%........

And thanks for all the words.
The insurance guy comes to see it either tommarrow or tuesday, so I'll know soon what's going to happen. I'm hoping more and more they can fix it because I don't like my choices of new vehicles!
The roof is buckled right in the center of the car about where the doors meet. Inside the car is kind of weird because the rear seat has about a 1" gap between the bottom and top of the rear seat, and the rear "deck" I guess you'd call it is like 3" lower than it should be on the passenger side. I don't know if it's just something with the headliner, but the sunroof door doesn't open and close the way it should. The rear driver side door and rear panel are messed up. Basically about 3/4 of the car is messed up in some way. Driver side door around to the passenger side front fender are un-damaged - as far as I can see. I don't know though, I probably shouldn't think about it too much.
The guy was actually an older guy, late 30s early 40s I'd say. Unfortuantely even though it was a very busy intersection NO ONE stopped that I know of. The officer said there was a third caller but it seems they were just a passer by not a witness. I haven't seen the police report but the officer told me his view of the accident was highly on my side and he would make the report reflect that - the other guy was being a DICK to the officers (the officers own words) aswell so I believe the officer was telling me the truth in that. I can hope that could help my side of things. I'll find out soon!
And yes, I've had a lot of people interested in parts if that's what it comes down to I'll be selling stuff.

Andy I feel your pain bro, but I thank God that you came out of it alive and seems to be with no injuries at all. I feel asleep in my srt and went straight into the center divider. Still can't really explain it, but oh well, everything happens for a reason I guess. Your insurance will take care of it, thank God you are ok!
My wife was driving my first Neon (a 95) back in 96-7 when she was hit and the damage was in the same exact location. The difference was the truck was a full size deisel but it hit at a much slower speed and was more of a push than an impact but it contacted both the rt side doors and rt rear qtr, then pushed the car around 90 degrees and stuck the front end up on a curb where she was high centered and could not drive off. She then got out, got my baby boy out and took him up into the parking lot in front of the car and while someone was calling the police and whatnot, she watched a city bus fly by and clip the rear bumper and left rear corner. She and my boy were ok, but you should have seen the car. Much to my surprise, it was not a total. though by the dollar amount of the repairs it was close. When I got it back several weeks later, it looked great, but the right rear window never did crank up and down right. The big difference here is your impact appears to be at a higher speed. They were able to reskin my doors and fender and reuse the internal and interior door pieces. My chassis did not appear to by twisted. I have a feeling by the sunroof symptom that yours is. That might be the difference that makes your a total.
bummer.
can we start listing these cars as "rare" when we sell them?
glad you are ok.
too bad the calibur srt's arent out yet. looks like stuff from the home depot may actually fit into them. they will probably chime in @ 25G though.

Well just updating the situation... Insurance guy just left.
Things look good! He definitely thinks it's repairable, and his estimate of damage is about 30-50% of the value. It goes to the shop tommarrow and hopefully things will start rolling fast from here. This makes me happy, I'm already getting boost-sick lol. It's probably going to feel like a rocket when I first get back on the road.
