and how have you all figured out that he has s1 with no information? the s1 ecu DOES NOT come from the factory on 04/05 models, and the only way to tell is to pull the ecu and see if it says s1. he did not say what year the car is, so checking the injectors might or might not help. but to clarify on that, pull an injector and check the color of the o-ring. if it's purple, then it's a stock 03 injector. blue is 03 s1 and 04/05 stock. s2 is black.

the only real way that you're going to know what you have is to pull the ecu and check it. it's not hard to do, just a few bolts and you'll know for sure.

 

true... our cars have s1 injectors but not pcm
