Went to the track....11.9@120
Finally went to the track Wednesday night. It was a beautiful night for racing!!! There were a ton of srt's there, probably 15 or so which was weird because we only knew about 5 of them. Got three runs in, and finally got my 11! I know the car has a lot left in her, I figure that I can get at least another half second out of her with more practice. Overall I'm happy that I got the 11 considering that it was my first time on the drag strip in about a year, I was on brand new slicks that needed to be broken in, and the car was on a brand new set up that I have not run yet. So overall it wasn't bad, however I know she's got more. I was having a problem with 1-2nd as I was spinning through first so when I shifted into second the tires actually griped and it boged some. I think that the slicks just need to be broken in more and that should fix itself.
Here's a video of my last and best run....Video
I have't scaned in my timeslip yet, but here's the break down:
r/t: .029
60': 1.831
330':5.151
1/8: 7.771
1.8mph: 94.83
1000: 10.045
1/4: 11.938
1.4mph: 120.11
Temperature was 60 degrees with 0% humidity, 29.41" pressure, and the run was at 10:47pm.
Also of note a friend of mine with a SRT-8 Cherokee came with us. He ran that Jeep to a best of 13.4 bone stock. That Jeep keeps on impressing me. Here's a video of him.

SRT-8
I raced an srt8 on the street, with the evo(stock), he came flying up through traffic to get next to me at a stoplight. They definately go, it was a fun race. It is impressive how a 4800lb vehicle can move, and it's american!
AWESOME! me = jealous!
We had a 300C SRT8 at work the other day for testing - - - yeah... I'd imagine the Jeep would be a blasty-blast!!!!

thanks everyone!!!
vaughn - i hold the rpms at about 4500 until i see the second yellow, then bring it up to 6k and launch while the revs are going up.
hopefully going back to the track next friday and i hope to improve!!!

Very nice. You need a 2 step, that'll help tremendously with the launch. Plus with an ignition cut rev limiter instead of the factory fuel cut rev limiter, if it spins in 1st you can bounce it off the rev limiter to about the end of the 60' and then shift. That's Nick's technique and it'll get you some 1.7 60's for sure. Personally I like using an EBC to bring down the boost in 1st gear so it doesn't spin.
With the 2-step at 4700rpm (I tried everything between 4000 and 5500, 4700 worked the best, 4500 bogged, 4900 spun) I'd hold in the launch limiter button (a momentary switch), stage, when the first yellow came on I'd put my foot to the floor, when the last yellow came on I'd drop the clutch and the 2-step and then get ready to shift to 2nd.
With the EBC I ran about 22psi in 1st, 28psi in 2nd and 30psi in 3rd & 4th.
With the new setup, I'm going to be back to the drawing board, the AEM EMS uses a MPH vs Boost map so it ought to be interesting, esp w/ the new DCR Auto trans.

i had a 2 step and got rid of it. too many problems with it over heating. besides, i've done a 1.7 60' without it, what's the point of using it if it's just going to give me the same times while potentially leaving me stranded when the damn thing breaks (which did happen). no thanks, i'll keep my launching technique as it's working good for me. the slicks were new which is why i was only able to get a 1.8 out of them, should be better next time out.
