RE: trading in rt for srt and have ?'s
I always have been and always shall be Mopar or no car. There for awhile I was wondering since they haven't made an affordable high power car or a RWD V8 car, but the SRT-4, even with it's 4 doors which I never could stand, won me over especially after seeing it in black. The black helps to hide the 4 door fact quite a bit, if it didn't I might have went Ford and bought the new retro-styled Mustang GT.[:@]

Almost.[] I had been waiting and looking forward to the '99 Charger R/T concept car and it's announced and scheduled production, but then Dumler pulled the plug on it and I was majorly pissed.[sm=smiley7.gif][sm=smiley7.gif][sm=smiley7.gif] I have been waiting and hoping for a RWD V8 power coupe from Dodge with no hope of such a thing in sight. Then They has the SRT concept car which was great except it was a 4 door, it later became the SRT-4. Then along came the Razor concept car, so I thought if that came out I'm buying. It had most of what I ideally wanted, it was a RWD coupe, but it had a 4 cylinder turbo, which was fine since is was super light and 250 horsepower. But they decided not to make it, so once again I was screwed. As much as I loved the looks of the SRT-4, I just cannot stand 4 doors and their looks. It is acceptable in black since it helps to hide the 4 door factor.
Then Ford of all companies releases pictures of the new retro styled Mustang that is going into production. The new Mustang is done right and it is bad as hell.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif] They did it completely right, it looks just like the good old late 60's Mustang, it's RWD with a V8 and it's a coupe. It was everything I wanted, except that it was a Ford. I very seriously considered holding off and getting the new Mustang, since DCX isn't going to get a clue and make something that I want, and that most everyone else wants as well. [:@][:@][:@] They mostly got the formula right with the Crossfire, but it's underpowered and starts out at over $30,000, not to mention the fact that only the sheetmetal and name are Chrysler and all the rest is Dumler. The new Mustang GT will be in the $24,000-$26,000 range. If it wasn't for the '04 SRT-4's performance and features, not to mention price, I would never have even considered buying one. I love it's performance and the looks of it, except the 4 doors, but if it weren't for it being a Dodge as well and the slight leak in the R/T, I would have probably waited and bought the new Mustang GT.
How frickin' hard is it to get this simple formula correct: 2 door coupe + high power V8 + RWD + affordable price, it would also help if it were to look good too much like the '99 Charger R/T concept car. If they were to follow this formula, Ford has sucessfully done it for f's sake, they would have record breaking sales. After seeing the Charger R/T concept car I had a few hundred people with money in hand ready to buy it when it came out, including me and my dad, and it still wasn't perfect since it had 4 doors. Heck, Ive got a cheap and easy answer to this, simply build a Viper that is assembly line produced instead of hand built like the real Vipers are, and put the 345 horsepower 5.7L Hemi from the Rams in it. Now that would be perfect, it would look perfect, it would be RWD, it would have a powerful V8 with a manual transmission and it would be affordable much like the Mustang GT's price.

Hate to tell you this 71R, the concept Charger R/T in '99 was a 4-door.

And I have seen it in person the first year it was debuted, see here are a few pictures I took of it:
