mods 4 noise
hell yeah, if you get yanked over w/ stock exhaust (possibly even cat delete if they dont know) you may be fine. just need that statement from dodge that its stock exhaust and no ticket, or a beat ticket.
i got one already..took it to court, back then I had a resonator on my exhaust...now im running straight 3' all the way back, and cops don't seem to mind, but there's always an ******* that will give you a ticket just for the hell of it
The Mopar BOV only leaks if installed improperly. It is far too easy to overtighten and the purge valve flanges are thin and easily bent creating gaps between the bolts and thus leaks.
what will the raptor with hard pipes cost and which hard pipes do you need? does the raptor go on the downpipe or what....thats one reason i went with the mopar cause i was not sure which pipes i needed
raptor bov..with block off plate, claps and cold side pipe sosts $300, thats the full kit, that's all you need. Then you might want to buy the other pipe that goes on the bottom modernperformance.com or turboneonstore.com, check these 2 out, torboneonstore doesn't have the raptor i think, but they have the same kit but hks instead. They both cost about the same.
thats a little more than my checkbook can hadle right now. im about to get my own place so every cent is valuable right now, but for sure in the future if im lucky enough to keep my car. let me ask this though. will all these hard pipes improve sound and performance as well from the actual turbo(not just the bov). i would love to have the turbo wine at idle as well as the psh-sh-sh-sh when i change gears as oppose to the lone pshhhh. these pipes give me that?
not really...these pipes help you hold boost a little bit better. If you want your car to wine at a red light a sound badass then get an exhaust, no cats no mufflers, straight 3' to the back.Or you can go to a muffler shop and have them build it for you.It should cost you no more than $350.Now if you want the big psh-psh-psh then stick with the mopar for now, then when you get more mods like boost controller and wastegate and stuff like that you can buy a better bov
i went on friday and got my cat cut off and replaced with 2.5" straight pipe. that gave me a little more turbo sound but still not what i was looking for. so you think if it replace it with 3" that will do it? can i just run 3" from the 2.5" that i had installed all the way to the stock 2 1/4" crazy bends at the end?
you can also take the car to a muffler shop and ask them to take whatever you got on your exhaust, cat, resonator or whatever, and tell'em to replace it with a 2'5 pipe..you know like your stock ones. Then you'll be running 2'5 pipes straight down. That will give you a way more agressive sound, and it's a lot cheaper
