srt vs. Z28

For starters, an auto LS1 is going to be beat by an SRT-4 every time.......they're just slow..... a good driver might be able to get you at launch....but your going to win....

I don't know if I can agree with this. My friend has a 2002 Z28 automatic and run's consistant 13.7's with a rare 13.6 occasionally, and he's stock.

I was making a very general statement. The 2002 Camaro was the baddest, fastest production Camaro built.....so I have no doubt that its a beast.....but in general the LS1 autos arent going to beat an SRT-4....

The 2 cars in question here are so close that it really comes down to options (like auto, convertible etc.), state of tune and driver technique. Racing from a dig puts a lot more weight on driving prowess, especially the guy in the fwd'er. Racing from a roll, really showcases power to weight, not so much the driver. So rolls favor us, digs favor them. Simple concept, but with all the variables, still and always fun to discuss. I will guess that the right year, properly optioned and properly driven Camaro will get us nearly every time. Thankfully, those carsare not the norm.
