I'm sure they work to a degree as do the magnetic oil drain plugs. But withthe SRT-4's recommended 90 day-3,000 mile change intervals, I wouldn't expect a lot of stuff getting past my K&N oil filters. Probably the best time to use them would be in the break in time of your vehicle. Personally, I change my oil about every 500 miles on a new car for the first 5,000 miles or so, just to avoid the metal particles......and I've never had any internalengine issues in 40 years.

It's not a new idea, just an improvement on an old idea. I'd guess it can't hurt. Not that Dusty doesn't know what he's talking about but you guys gotta keep in mind he only has about 20 miles on his car. I think he walks or bikes everywhere.Sorry Dusty just gotta rib ya a little for owning a museum piece. BTW, I was just searching SRT's for saleon the internet and came across a Red 2004 with only 1400 or so miles on it for about 17-18 thousand (I think). It was in Holland Michigan.

They are definately worth getting, I would like to pick one up myself but haven't yet. It's always worth having the added insurance against potentialdamage.
