lowering your tire pressure will make ur mpg go to hell, and will wear your tires unevenly and make you have to get new tires faster, thats about it

flashing the ecu pretty much just messes with it, and makes the readins from it change up a little bit, ie in alot of cases some companies flash the ecus to make the vehicles pass emissions. i could have sworn they do that on the srts, flash it so it programs to read lower emissions etc. do it whenever you want? or after you upgrade your exhaust.

When people are talking about reflashing a Staged Ecu... they are talking about getting it programmed so the key will work to start the car. They are programmed with a Vin number when you purchase them, if you buy a used one you have to get it reflashed.

Thanks for the explanation there Burnout. I couldn't figure out wtf they were talking about. I work at a dealer and we re-flash computers all the time to fix various problems such as transmission shift points and the like. The only reflashing I've heard of on an SRT-4 is exactly what you said. I'm not sure that's what they are talking about still though.

Strange how this thread went from a tire issue to re-flashing computers. Seems like a new thread is needed and an explanation about what in the world we are talking about.
