From what I hear the computer reacts to these in a negative way. I raced 2 diff. srt-4 at the strip with mine being stock and they had man. boost control and stage 1 and exhaust and still beat them by 3/10ths all night.

It's good to have when you are going to be installing a Wastegate Actuator. You don't want to tighten down the wastegate too tight and be raising boost with just a wastegate. I have read stories where people use these mainly for raising boost and they either break the actuator arm or bend the flapper on the mani. I keep mine set at 12psi and raise boost with an MBC. If you are stock and just raise boost, it does help but not a whole lot especially with the stock WG. I would say get the MBC with WGA and you would be good.

I wouldn't put a WGA and a boost controler on an stock 03. Not enough fuel to protect the turbo.
Also if you do go this route, cap the red vaccume line ( #3) This is the line that reports over boost to the PCM.
On stage 0, anything over 18+ will report an code p0234 to the PCM. Three p0234 to the PCM will void your warranty, and you can not reset that once that code is thrown. Even if you reset the PCM..( stores this data forever)

If you plan on getting Stage 2 w/toys, then don't waste your time and money on the MBC.

That is one good reason right there to get one of the Stage upgrade PCM's.

Good stuff there, Gargoile. I knew there was an overboost code but I didn't know it was anything over 18 and that it couldn't be reset. Stage 1 would prevent this problem?

If you overboost too many times you may have to buy another PCM to keep your warranty.

I would stay away from all Manual boost controllers, those things have blew more engines than any other mod.....Greedy or Turbo XS has some nicely priced electric(hence Programable) units out there...its going on 2005 not 1985...
