when i am driving and have the pedal alittle more than halfway down on the gas, my turbo seems to be cutting out in then back out again. this is pretty scary because the ca jerks violently. when i'm wot the car accelerates fine. speeding up not halfway on the gas i'm fine. but in between half and 3/4 on the gas it seems like my fuel is cutting out.

i have a stage 1 pcm i want to put in my car. i don't want to put it in while my car is doing this. what should i do?? any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

whats the guage reading when it does this??? does it completely fall to vacuum. i mean what makes you think its the turbo cuttin out?

 

it's called part throttle boost. get used to it, it's not going away. add a s1 and a mbc and it will decrease it, but if you're going to do the s1/wga/mbc route then ptb is a way of life. it's either 25% or 100% throttle. you have to relearn how to drive the car with those mods. welcome to the world of modifications.

 

those are "fuel cuts"....usually happens when you floor it at low rpms.Let's say your in 3rd or 4th gear at 3000 RPMs and you floor it your boost goes all the way up and stays there, too much boost and not enough gas so this makes you car to jerk!!!usually when this happens to me i got fire coming out of my exhaust...lol...get a nice S-AFC and tune your car right and this won't happen again...also S1 injectors would help too if you don't allready have them

 

no tuning is going to get rid of it, it's PTB. it's part of the modification world, get used to it. you can't tune it out. want to get rid of it? get a big turbo or a stage kit. otherwise get used to it lol.

 

TPS maybe or a bad injector if its truly violent jerks.

 

so its not messing up my turbo or engine at all? as long as nothing is taking damage then i'm fine. i have a stage 1 but it's not in yet. since it's an 04 i don't need the injectors.i think it's the turbo because i check the boost gauge and the needle darts back and forth in between maybe 10 and 0 psi. what is a S-AFC? sorry if that's a dumb question. and an mbc?? what's that. sorry guys. . . .

no your turbo is fine.Like I said before, not enough fuel.A boost controler won't help much.A S-AFC makes your injectors pump more fuel.There's a more scientific explanation but i'm in a hurry lol.Like psichick said..get used to it!!!!lmao....we all have
