Ok well I seem to have everyones support besides srt_ya and redevil. and that works for me. Im not afraid of manuals I just think that being different is way better than being the same. and hopefully you know this at least 04blksrt does..
but if it was a auto... you wouldnt lose the torque built up that you do when shifting. It would just be a constant force never having to take a break to go faster

don't think I don't support it (okay, you're right, I don't... but it's your car, or could be your car)... I just won't be asking for the conversion in my life time... hehe...

CVT? what are we talkin about here?...and third ***** can be nice..as long as its as pretty as the other two. ok, so this isnt really srt discussion anymore! but what does the CVT mean?

Continous Variable Transmission ..... basically an auto that doesn't have any shift shock... it's like being in one constant gear... and it def. makes the car slower.

here's my two cents.....

a RACE auto can shift way faster than any human can. a regular auto is horrible. unless you're looking to run 9's or better and are willing to shell out about 3k or more for a race tranny, stick with the manual.
$3K? No, try more like $8k, plus you'll need someone to fab up an odd shaped cold side pipe. Going with a race auto is not for the light-hearted, but if you're making so much power that you're snapping the input-shaft of the stock tranny, then you really don't have much other choice.

this guy ison crack!!!!!!!!!!!!!son wake up....SRT4 was made to be shifted....not sit on it like an old lady and just hit the brakes and gas.auto trannys are great, but for 9 sec cars and stuff, kinda hard to shift when your car is almost flipping or popping wheelies.I'm really surprised burnout and me agreed on this, i thought this was gonna be another battle

Nope the lube comes with it.

There's alot of custom high dollar parts in the DCR trans, it's more than just a "race re-built" w/ HD clutches 3 speed trans. Just about every internal part is upgraded from the stock one. The input shaft and intermediat shaft are custom machined from 300m. Even the case is modified. Also the DCR trans does come with Stage V DSS axles, an SFI certified flex-plate, an 8 bolt race torque converter, a trans oilcooler, B&M shifter and all fluids. Those "extra" parts alone would run you $3kor moreif bought separately.
