i know perfectly well what goes into an autotranny from darryl, you're not the only one with one. and the one that i know didn't cost 8k.....

Actually I didn't pay 8k either, but I've heard that's the new price. I bought in when DCR was still R&Ding how they were going to build them and they changed a bunch of things from when I ordered the tranny until they delivered it, hence the price change.

Unless you plan on running with MChat, I would stay with the 5 speed. I learned how to drive in an Auto and it just seems lifeless compared to a manual.

Well I personally rather drive my car (manual)than to let it drive me (automatic). I like to feel like I'm contributing to the driving experience not just be shoufered (if that's how uspell it)around just by pressing the gas. It sounds like a good idea but I would loose the driving experience with it and with that the fun of driving thr car. .

personally i hate automatics on a normal street car. such a waste.

I should note one thing about my "Auto" trans... it has a manual valve-body, which means the driver still needs to shift it, but there's no clutch.

Oh well thats pretty cool in itself. I woulddo somethingdifferent myself in some way but I'm just too lazy to do any of the work.
