miss fireing system
i have no clue what he's talking about either. misfiring is a bad thing, you never want to intentionally do it. and why would it reduce lag? i think he's talking about something else but using the wrong terminology.

i think i might have the answer i seek but for you who dont know what a miss fireing system is.
An anti-lag (commonly called a 'bang-bang' in WRC) worked to help keep a turbo spooled. When the driver lets off the gas the computer physically holds the throttle open, dumps in a ton of fuel, and retards the timing. This causes most of the fuel to not be ignited in the combustion chamber and ends up getting burnt in the exhaust manifold, creating the energy that helps the turbo stay spooled.
