hopefully you learned somethin out of this. regardless your insurance will likely go up a good bit. if you were yanking on him through 3rd, you were probably between 65 and 75 at the time with every intention of going faster??? what speed limit was posted? i have done some street racing as well, but calmed down after stories such as yours and some others that ended up much worse. maybe i should get an anti-street racing sticker for my car, to make it clear i have no intention of acting like a fool.

sorry to hear that bub! i know in AL you unfortunately do lose your liscence for around 90 days. my opinion would be to find the cop that wrote you the ticket and for sure ask to have it reduced (more like plead to have it reduced[even if its to reckless driving]) and have some puppy dog eyes in court. u for sure dont want to go in that court room with a racing ticket though! what was the speed limit in the area?

In florida you get a nasty fine and lose your license for 1 year. Good luck, Playa. []

Sorry to say bro... but in VA you lose your car and your license for a year. What city are you in ? .. If it was in the Hampton Roads area I can recommend a good lawyer.

I just got my SRT4 so im not to confident in driving it yet, also i dont want to beat on it really hard because im not sure how the previous owner treated my precious (hehe im not really that much of a freak)...anyways where im going with this is i was at a light last night on a U.S. 41 which is basically the only major road on the west coast of florida. This guy in a spiffy lookin Suby Sti pulls up next to me. Florida unmarked traffic officer behind me. Suby never even noticed him. This guy reved trying to get my attention. Im not about to race an STI with my almost stock SRT4 (yet that is ill be on the local track soon enough) while there is an unmarked traffic sitting behind me. I give her a couple revs nothing to showy, and nod at the suby. The light turns green and the dude floors it. Cop followed him for about half a mile and im gathering pulled him over at about a 90 plus and climbing. I waved as i drove by. ......longer story short im reading the local paper this morning and that guy got arrested, they found a couple grams of blow in his console and about an ounce of pot in his pocket. What a maroon, i would never carry any thing in my baby that might get her impounded permanently. Much less race on these unmarked cop filled streets.

Keep her on a track. FTW!!
