[:@] Had q.d. bust on fire wall from pump side and hosed engine bay down with racing fuel car burnt to the ground . Anyone running one know this, disconnect will come apart by itself and the car will burn up ! Be sure after every mod you check them . By the way Chrysler paid me for every mod to include the upgraded turbo , the innercooler , boost controller , every payment ever made on the car and the money used from trade in as down payment all that said the car still lives in a junkyard now , so be on the look out . They may have issued a recall because the adjuster from the factory said he had seen this before and Chrysler did everything on their own no legal mumbo jumbo just totaled all bills and cut me a check .I had several parts that at time either were still new in box or off car for some reason all sold on e-bay except for eibach springs still have stored in garageI forgot they were there anyone interested p.m. me for a good deal on a $300.00 set of springs i do not need . AndI mean a good deal . pro series springs

 

well, your english needs some help buti can understand you were probably just upset when typing. but can you better explain exactly what happened and more importantly HOW? im assuming this a factory defect everyone should be concerned about?

 

i think he had a quick disconnect on the car and it disconnected and fuel was sprayed on the car and it burnt up. how that's dcx's fault i'm still trying to figure out.

 

i think in this case, if its such a mod, then both chrysler and possible insurance company may have just said sorry about YOUR loss.

 

I definately would like for you to explain this a little better please, now I am a little concerned

 

thats correct psi....all of our cars come with a plastic quick disconnectin the passenger side of the firewall. this quick disconnect (q.d.) broke which in turn made the fuel spray down the engine bay which in turn caught the car on fire. he said that the insurance adjuster had seen this b4 in atleast one other car so hes thinkin that dodge is fully aware of this problem and might be callin a recall. note to self : check the plastic q.d. periodically especially after any mods or work done near that area

dodge isn't going to recall anything because two cars had a part break. unless the problem gets into the thousands they're not going to touch it. and considering that there are over 25k srt-4's out there and this happened on one car i'm not all that worried. plus if he was modded who's to say that he didn't damage it himself futsing around in the engine bay and cause it to brake? yea yea i know, no one EVER is to blame for their problems, it's all dcx's fault.....

 

you know though Amy... as a supplier to DCX... they do have quite a long list of dirty laundry ;-) hahaha... but I TOTALLY agree with you on this one! It's brainbucket's fault I am sure...

 

every car manufacturer has dirty laundry, they screw us to make money, that's just how it is. dcx just doesn't hide it as well as some of the other companies lol(subaru and honda top that list).

if this was a major problem we would definetly know about it by now.
