Default hard pipe w/ bov install question

ok...i put my harpipe with a greddy type s bov on this weekend. i put the block off plate on and im pretty sure i wired all the vacuum hoses up properly. for some reason i dont think my bov is sealing back shut properly. 1st of all when im goin and i let off the throttle to change gears theres really not a whole lot of blow off. i really have to be in the throttle to get the sound from it. and then about 4-5 sec. after i let off u can still hear chirping a little. it almost sounds like brakes sqeaking of something...its a real low sound kinda like when you have a baloon full of air and you sqeeze the end of it and let the air out, u know how it makes that weird sound....it almost puts u in the mind of that. anyone have any ideas for me? i tried readjusting the bov but it just didnt make any difference

As far as the chirping I'm guessing you have something loose and air is escaping somewhere. The other problem u have I wouldn't think is a problem. A lot of good bov's don't perform as well on a stock cars (i'm guess you don't have major mods) so you won't get the hair rasing sound like you would think to get. My turbonetics does the same thing. I have to kinda push the engine to get a really loud sound out of it cause I don't create as much hp.... yet. I'd say when you start to get more hp, it'll be easier to get the sound outta your bov.

when i went to adjust the bov i noticed that the flange would turn (clockwise or cntrclockwise) just a little. now it wouldnt pull out or push in at all but it does rotate a little...is this supposed to happen?

well i went back and tightened some more b/c i thought it would only relase like that if it was too loose. so to loosen it i need to loosen that nut on top, then turn counterclockwise right? how much does one full turn actually loosen this thing up?

I tighten my raptor when i go to the track, then I loosen it up again. It will hold much more psi when it's tight, you won't get the same sound tough.I guess your greddy is kinda like mine

yeah im sure it is like the raptor, but its acting like it doesnt want to seal shut when it blows off. its kinda like it lingers open and just slightly whistles. u know the chirp / whistle sound the type s makes? well its a real low pitch of that sound and it just lingers like its slowly sealing itself off. but its almost like when u let out it blows off, then no sound, then a few seconds later u can hear doin that little, low pitch whistle / chirp. someone please give me some ideas cause i love the way it sounds, but i want it to be right

losen up the adjustement nut on the top and turn the key thingie. i think it's counterclockwise, there are arrows on it to tell you which direction it needs to go in. you want the bov releasing at 0 and only 0. you should not have to adjust it once it's set. if you're leaking boost it's because there's a leak in the pipe or the bov itself is leaking. it is not meant to help you hold boost or control boost, all it is meant to do is release backpressure to save the turbo.
