HEY EVERYONE....I WAS GONNA ORDER THE CLEAR SIDE MARKER FOR MY SRT-4 BUT WASN'T TO SURE ON HOW TO CHANGE IT....ANYONE KNOW HOW IT COMES OUT, BECAUSE I DONT SEE ANY SCREWS ON THE OUTSIDE, SO WAS WOUDURING ON HOW IT COMES OUT...? IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME OUT, THAT WOULD BE GREAT.........AND ALSO WHEN YOU TAKE IT OUT AND PUT IN THE CLEAR SIDE MARKER, IS THE BLUB UNDERNEAT YELLOW AS WELL OR CLEAR...? THANKS!

 

Its very easy to change out. On the side that points to the rear of the car, there is a clip. Just slide the clip off and push the marker out. Its that simple.

 

The bulb is clear.

 

does the clear blub thats in there stock look good when you change the outside peice, or do you still have to buy a white or super white bulb to make it look better....and bout takin it out, you just pretty much pop it out...havn't tried it yet...prob after this weekend, busy with work....thanks tho

 

Note - in most states the law req.'s that you have a amber light visible from the side at the front of the car so get an amber bulb. - if you order from modern performance, they come with a set. That way, when the suns out and cops aren't really looking that hard you will be clear, and when its dark, and they are watching, you'll be in compliance.

They look great, btw.

Addl. note - the clip in the back that holds it in is a beast to get back in on the new ones. Trim the plastic to give the clip more clearance. Believe me - this will save you a lot of headache.

 

I left the "clear" lights in mine (I also live in a place where that will be the last thing the cops notice) so... if you are "daring", you can leave the "white" lights in there... I did....

I don't know about replacing the clips or trimming?? Mine fit and looks fine... the install took honestly 15 minutes... I used a hyd. jack to lift the car and turned the wheels for easier access... no trimming was needed for mine

Same here, not hard getting the clip on the new ones. I have the white lights in mine too...no problems from cops. Just don't use their color in there and you should be okay.

 

yes, Mod. Perf.... they were the APR (is that right? I can't remember... every "ricer" I know has this companies sticker across their windshield - I think's it APR or something like that).

I "popped" the clips out by hand, and slid the new lenses in with ease (thank God, cause it was a little tight on the passenger side of the car).

I'd have to check again, but I thought you could have "white" lights on the "front" of you vehicle *meaning the "white" lights weren't an issue... don't know... each state is different I am sure. Either way, if a cop gives you crap for them, I would admire the cop for noticing (correct me if I am wrong Dusty )*

 

Its APC, not APR. LOL. And yes, every ricer and their mom has APC stickers on their car. And that is what I understand as well, lights up front need to be amber or white in color in MIchigan anyways.
